Re: Forum problems, glitches, etc. POST HERE ONLY PLEASE
This is a very small issue and I almost hate to mention it.....ehh but I will anyway.
I 've noticed a few times that the post-count doesn't increase after a post. I reloaded the page to check.
The first time I noticed this and was actually paying attention was when I was going from 776 to 777. I haven't noticed it lately though so it might be a non-issue.

Re: Forum problems, glitches, etc. POST HERE ONLY PLEASE
I have noticed this a few days ago. I am not receiveing any email notifications for the threads I am watching. although I see the threads in the list in my control panel. When I open the thread it says that I am watching the thread, but I never get an email. I even changed my email address but nothing happened...
Could it be a problem from the recent update?

The 'go to first new post' links go to the right page, but do not advance to the new post on the page like before.

some forum areas do not increment your post count.

Glen,
What's with the ads on the first post of a thread and also with the site logging you off automatically after a while? It's really annoying.

Hi Jimmy, I have no control over the forum layout, ads, etc. That said it sounds like a bug if it logs the user off... might be a forum software upgrade quirk. If it's reported and repeatable i'm sure it will be looked into (i'll also inquire if the cookies are server side or client side now).
I don't see any ads myself
when logged in
. I'd assume that is a feature to encourage membership & login.
Hopefully they can clean that up and make the googlead more distinct/separate from the first post... a line/separator is needed imho.
Keep in mind a MAJOR forum software upgrade was just done so little things are gonna need time to be ironed out.. glen

Get get logged out everytime too, even if I check the "remember me" box.
Also, certain images don't load, and I get text like this:
in this thread, last 05-05-2008" border="" />
instead...

I'm wondering if this is browser-related because I don't seem to face any problem with Firefox 2.0.
