Not to be a pain, but does it make any sense to create a Recording Forum for recording gear and technique posts?

FWIW,

I want to test this forum under full use at jemsite.com for about a week or two to ensure there will be no problems. I don't object to adding more categories, because they save bandwidth and accomidate people who visit less frequently.

Keep the ideas coming & the moderators we'll consider them.

What about creating a new forum topic about guitar techinc and playing...... shredding if you prefer.
I mean something where one could talk about exercises, riffs or post links to cool guitar sites. I think it would be cool to have a section of the forum where one could read something that may possibly develop his/her playing.
Just an idea...

That's a great idea Yuza... I will be great to share links and tips regarding playing techniques, exercises and music theory.

I posted this somewhere else, but I'll repost here:

I think there should be a Technique forum for posting questions and suggestions about everything from simple fingering and picking to trem technique and strange sound effects. *People could post pictures, tabs, video, audio, or just text. *Whadd'ya say?

I think a recording section would be very helpful for anybody interested in this topic. What about a digital audio forum so that people who do record digitally, can fully understand what is going on. The two can be incorporated into a single forum topic.

Make sense? I think so.

I think there should be an actual folder which is Named "Frequently Asked Questions" in the forum itself where the moderators and yourself could lock a topic and store it there for others to go review.....

To often I see post's where somebody is told to go to the frequently asked section :argue: *but he first thing after clicking on the FAQ/Rules marker up top is the fact your redirected off the forum :idunno: *and you have to scroll down through all the Rules :read: *and what not before making it to the actual guitar questions  .........

I think that a folder which would have the titles to the questions catagorized such as the forum format here would be more helpful and easier for people to navigate...

I renamed that a while ago to the Archived Topics since it was confusing having two FAQs... one forum area and one FAQ document ... glen
