forum time?


seems to be something strange going on with the time recorded for posts.

i replied to a thread earlier and it's showing my reply as being the first post... several hours before the thread was created!

is it just me?

Please don't post in this thread before doing the above from post #3

from vBulletin. all times are correct and unchanged on the server...

vBulletin gets its time from the server. You need to set the timezone and DST settings in the Admin CP to match the timezone of the server your forums are running on. Then each user needs to set their local timezones/DST in the User CP. If you do this correctly and the server time is correct, then the correct times will show.

Mine was set to GMT Western Europe?! Even though my posts always post correctly, except the one exception today it stuck me a few hours earlier in that thread. I reset it to EST US.

its still all screwed up on my end, everything is fine in my CP, the time zone never changed or anything...

a few posts/pms got posted with teh incorrect time...probably a wierd quirk.... in 10-18 hours you won't notice it any more ...glen
