help with email address

This is for a forum administrator.

I need help. I got a new email address. I went to change it in my profile, but I forgot my password. I couldn't get a new password because my new email wasn't the email address in my profile. So, I thought, what the heck, I will just register a new member ID. I tried to do that and never received the email confirmation of my new member ID and my password.

So then I thought, Oh well, I will just try to fix my old one. I still remembered my password for my old email address so I got a new password for my current member ID using my old email address. However, now that I am able to edit my profile, I tried to change my email address and Jemsite says that my new email address is already in use. This can only be the case if my other Member ID is somehow on record even though I never got the confirmation email and password.

So, can a forum administrator please cancel my other Member ID: "Geetarpicker"? I want to continue using "Crossjem" since that has been my ID for years. "Geetarpicker" is just my email address "geetarpicker@comcast.net" so I picked that for my new Member ID. Any assistance you can render would be most appreciated. Please send any email questions to "geetarpicker@comcast.net" since that is my new email address and AOL is a pain for me to get to now that I don't use it anymore. Plus, I'm cancelling it today. Thanks!

Re: help with email address

Humm ... another Comcast user that can't receive mail from jemsite. I have never been able to resolve the problem with my Comcast account. I suspected Comcast must be doing something to block it. I gave up trying. Any other Comcast users having problems receiving mail from jemsite?

When they switched my server over I couldn't reply to anybody from verizon.net, everything would bounce, for a couple months. They must have sorted it out, my sister actually got a reply from me yesterday.

Re: help with email address

Maybe those of us on Comcast should just get one of the "free" accounts like Yahoo mail to use here. That is assuming that Yahoo mail doesn't have any problems with it. I considered trying it, but didn't want to create any more work for Glen if it didn't work -- so I gave up.

Re: help with email address

i'm checking vB's site for info... will submit a support ticket.. but obviously comcast is doing something. for now i've eliminated the option of using comcast.net for email (since mail won't get there anyways).
