I'm annoyed.......

Is it me or are all newbies to Jemsite fogetting what city they live in???? I think it's time to enforce every member to put their actual city/state and country location. A good example is the ad for that 2820tw in the classifieds section right now.

Does anyone else feel the same way??????

lol, i think it's more of a case of step one, signup, step two skip faqs,step three list something i need to shift quick.

As for the enforcing, there is plenty of moderation already, it maybe an annoyance to some in the classifieds, but for anyone posting outside of that it's rarely valid, about the most can be done is to have it *Required Field or some such.

As i said, this has to be one of the most heavily moderated sites i have every posted on, over the years the team has changed, but the speed at which issues are dealt with never falters, for now, just chill and do the usual "location please" we all do from time to time.

i think it's the most we can hope for tbh

Nope, I live in a county called Fairfax, State of Virginia in the United States.

Now, for the ingenius site admins, ya'll need to add a database of cities and countries to bypass this issue.

Myself, I think it's most important to have a geographic region, such as Northern Europe or a country such as in my case, England as much as anything, These days with the world being so small an exact city isn't always needed, and some folks don't feel happy listing a lot of personal details others travel a lot and can be all over the place.

But overall, yes, some form of an accurate, real world location should be in your profile

It can be annoying, definitely, especially in the classifieds. We do get around to everything eventually, but feel free to report a post if you see it before we do and we'll bang it out ASAP.
