BTW, Glen, is there a delay between when a new member registers an account and when they can post? A friend of mine just registered (sic666) and he's wondering how long it'll take.

Re: NEW SERVER for Jemsite (aug 2006) discussion
Is there a way I can have the thread layout like it used to be before the server switch? For some reason, the member's name now appears on the top of his post, unlike on the side like it used to be.

Re: NEW SERVER for Jemsite (aug 2006) discussion
This layout is much preferred as the posting area is now full screen. Good especially for those that post oversized pics.

Re: NEW SERVER for Jemsite (aug 2006) discussion
Is the "home" screen going to be like it was (or similar) so you can see the number of members logged in etc??

Re: NEW SERVER for Jemsite (aug 2006) discussion
what is the URL of the "home" screen you're talking about?
all that stuff should be there and visible on the forum front
jemsite.com home has to be redone to integrate with vBulletin again... glen

what do you guys think of the speed early on?
i'm noticing good speed overall and some VERY noticably fast speeds on admin stuff like IP search, edit, etc. IP search might have taken 30 seconds i just ran in 5

The speed is great to me. It's helping to supress my desire to change all the pics in the classifieds to links
