After several days of unresponsiveness with jemsiteforum.com's web host, i've migrated to our new forum and server a bit earlier than anticipated.

The entire ikonboard has been converted... members, posts, IMs, email notifiers, etc. Along with some previously pruned topics.

Use your same username/password to Login - then you can edit your profile, email, password, forum preferences and even change your username.

New Forum Area "Other Ibanez Guitars" - for ibanez guitar discussion that previously was thrown in the "other 6-string area". Many topics have been moved there.

This forum has some cool new features.

• ability to subscribe to FORUMS individually (each post arrives by email)
• enhanced searching for your "subscribed topics", and much move.
• several new Profile settings
• search last day's post very easily
• expanded and faster searching
• view your "watched posts" that generate email
• easily view all of a member's posts (from their profile)
• view all unanswered posts (with no replies)
• view posts since last visit has a summary of the last post
• ability to direct click to last new post from the forum or searches
• server-side cookies for marking forums read (good for us who use multiple computers)

AVATARS are disabled and member-only avatars will be re-addressed at a later date.

There are probably some bugs but we'll work around them ...glen

But might I suggest this as the perfect time to add the somewhat hidden Jem/UV For Sale forum to the main menu? I know it helps the admins swipe all the good gear while it's hidden away but I like to try my best to buy a Jem once in a while.

Probably best if you check your paths in the control panel as the email notification URL doesn't work properly...

Glen, how permanent is this? also, are we staying with phpBB? I think I liked Ikonboard better

phpBB will be permanent in that there is no going back to ikonboard now, barring CATOSTROPHE here.

That software is no longer supported and the developers split off into separate projects. Webhosts wont accept such a busy forum running PERL and flat-file text databases. This board is php w/ mySQL database.

Some tweaks need to be made here, but at least we're operational again with some bonus features

Hehehe for a while, I am the same member status as Vwall, jem7vw and the like!

I like the look of the new board and don't think it will take too long to get used to... have to say, the colours are a bit "pastel" for my tastes though! Was this move publicly known about.. did I just miss the posts about it?!?!

Don't know if this is known about or deliberate, but posts in most (if not all) topics are not in chronological order of last post like the old board. Players, personalities... and Jem and UV guitars for starters. Is that just in my browser or a bug in the new board?
