7bsb or 7dbk?

In a land of high prices $1100 isn't so bad for a BSB, I really REALLY like how they sound, and over here we can expect to pay around $1600 for one is v.g. to n.m. condition!!!

Personally out of those 2 guitars at those prices I'd go for the BSB. (But maybe haggle to see if you can get a case thrown in )

(or give Rich a call to see if he has something else you like the look/sound of ? )

7bsb or 7dbk?

All I'll offer is the traditional platitude: buy the one that plays and sounds best to you. *I will add this, however: I bought my 7DBK as a back up to my 77FP, played it for a couple days and completely fell in love. It's the least expensive of all my fancy-schmancy Ibanez axes, and it has become my Number 1 - it is NEVER in it's case... Funny how things turn out...

...oh yea, and I can't see how it's finished when I'm playing it unless I'm posing in front of the mirror :biggrin:

7bsb or 7dbk?

Plus & Minus

BSB :
+ no paint, cool tone
- Evos
- finish rubs off
- neck needs burnt gook removal

DBK:
* Breed pickups
* finish won't wear
- neck needs acrylic removal

Equal
- same non777 neck
+ good attention to detail

You cant go wrong with either. Buy what you like... glen

7bsb or 7dbk?

I totally missed the Argentina and thought you were asking if that was a good price on a BSB. It's not as you can buy a new dbk for the same price, which means the Argentinian market is 'about' the same as the US market. If you do decide on the BSB I would try to get him to come down as much as possible. For tone the BSB would be my choice, it's definately got more attitude than the DBK.

UPS left one of the guitars I ordered on my porch without having anyone sign for it. Lucky I came home from work early that day. (It was a Jem too!)

The BSB will retain value more.. i believe.
also it's got vai's choice of pickups the evo's.. which compliment a basswood body better than alder in my opinion.

I'd deffinatly choose the BSB over the DBK.. I'd probably choose a BSB over a VWH.. but thats my choice.. ethier way they're both fantastic guitars
