Re: have you named your guitar yet?

i don't name most of them.

the only one i really have a name for is my bits-'n-pieces telecaster. it's changed hands a few times, has parts from all sorts of places, and is ugly as all get-out. so i call it "the littlest hobo-caster".

i even play the theme song on that guitar. anyone remember that show?

Re: have you named your guitar yet?

Mine have names, but some are deemed to "suggestive" by my family, and have had to be tamed down. My Squier Standard Strat is named Cherry (Cherry Sunburst) my Am Deluxe Fender Strat was named Woody for it's beautiful red stained mahogany body, but is now Red, and I am still thinking about a proper name for my new UV777BK, leading right now is Triple Seven. What do you guys think?

Someone's dug up another one of the old threads, but I feel like participating. You can pretty much guess what I named my guitar....

Re: have you named your guitar yet?

ive only named one of my guitars, my RG7321 after some one who means a lot to me, kind of makes playing it more intimate, but other than that i find it hard to come up with names for guitars....

Well, when you only have one guitar then coming up with a name isn't that difficult. I do have another, but it's not worth mentioning...let alone naming.

Re: have you named your guitar yet?

My 7 string acoustic is "Shania Twang"

My UV is going to be called "Nat" after I strip it down to the wood. For now I guess it's "Rat".

My JS6000TR is "Trixie"

Don't have a name for my JS700 yet. Rich suggested something once, but I won't repeat it...

OOPS! Forgot my Stu Hamm Sapphire Blue bass. That's M2-B2. It stands for Mike Maier's Blue Bass.

Re: have you named your guitar yet?

I call my Seattle as JK Custom, because it don't have any serial number or what model it is. Maybe stupid name but don't have better and and some times i call it as JK 009. I am calling my Tokai Strat as Yngwie Strat because of scalloped fretboard.

I got an 7v Wh Jem. Never spoken, but i call it Jámli. It means nothing, but it sounds more hungarian than Jem.

Re: have you named your guitar yet?

I never named my guitars, but after having my old guitar teacher at the music shop working on my RG470 for almost 5 hours with customers inbetween last weekend I've decided to name it "Bitch". This is because it was being a bitch to work with. I'm going to be re-finishing the paint and everything in the near future, and I'm thinking of making an Ibanez style logo with the tick except it will be "Bitch".
