New members "Official Speedica"- introduce yourself here.

Hello All,
I'm Pierre Heijdendael from The Netherlands and joined in to show the official link of Speedica , a notorious Speed Metal band from the Lowlands in Limburg.

Why here ?
Speedica included guitar virtuoso Marcel Coenen, the No.1 rock guitarist of The Netherlands and official performer of live clinics for Ibanez Guitars !
You can reach Marcel Coenen by visiting his website through the "Links" section in Speedica's homepage.

See Ya................Pierre

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hey, I'm Rob from the Boston Area, 33 years old, been playing casually for about fifteen years. I found Jemsite while scanning the web for resources to make a poor-mans Jem out of an RG350DX. Really great site. I currently own an RG320FM, a RG350DX, and Schecter C1-E/A. Also, I can stop the quest to build an "Economy Jem", as my wife, who appraently loves me very much just surprised me with a Christmas/Birthday (Dec 3) present of a Jem77BRMR, yeah, the Bad Horsie Mirror Jem! All I can do is paraphrase Ferris Bueller when he spoke about driving Cameron's dad's Ferrari, "I have to tell you, I LOVE playing it. It is SO CHOICE.. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up". By the way, no "You didn't buy it yourself" jokes, she used a check from our home equity line of credit, so I AM paying for it! Merry Christmas to me! God Bless-Rob

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi, my name is Davi and I'm from Brasil. I got 02 Ibanez Guitars, S540LTD and a Jem 77VFP. When I first played a Ibanez I new that it was the best guitar ever made. These guitars are amazing and suits perefct for my music stile.

My first Ybanez I bought when I was 14 but, a couple years ago I made a dream come true I aquired a Jem 77 Floral Parttern. These guitars are complementary.

I'd like to congrat this site, its a great forum to get know better Ibanez guitars.

Rds, Davi.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hello All! I've visited wuite a few times and decided to log in. I'm a regular over at the SD forum and I see there are some here also. My first "real" guitar was a 91 rg570 in jewel blue. I bought her new, I remember walking by the music store in the mall and seeing the Jem swirls and thinking "WOW!" and of course the price threw me but I saw the blue just glowing next to the Jems so I got the 570. Shes long gone(about 6-7years) and has been replace by a Carvin DC127 and a Washburn NX6 Paduak. I play through a Marshall 9001 pre - BBE - Mesa 20/20 - ADA MicrocabII to either a Marshall 1960A or an Earcandy 2x12.
I've been eyeing the RGA121s. I love the blueburst but the natural finish is a bit more affordable.
Anywho,,,, Nice to be here and hope to meet some of you!
BTW I live on the Jersey shore.
Later! Mike

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi there! My name is Joe. I'm 27, & have been playing guitar for 15 years. I am happily married to my wife Angie for 8 years in Feb & have 3 beautiful children, Logan Mathew (6), Hayden Cole (3), & Emily Rose (4mo).

What can I say about myself? I have been an Ibanez fan for years upon years. I bought my first RG in 97. It was one of the Blue Metal Flake RG570s, which I have to this day. Over the last few years, the glitter finish has really put me down, but I can't dream of parting with it. So I decided to do the next best thing: Refinish it completely! I have a photo album of the work in progress at the link below:

http://photobucket.com/albums/d69/tegamal/RG%20Project/

So far, it's just been disassembled, but it's going to be sanded & primed this weekend, I hope. When it's finished, it will look like this:

I've always wanted a Black USA Fender Strat with a pearl pickguard, so I'm kinda living that dream through my beloved RG. I'll keep everyone updated if interested.

One last thing, here's me with my best friend's pride & joy!

Hi I'm Anthony, from Watford in England and I'm a new member. I love this website and I love Ibanez! The Ibanez that I have are 5 Jems, which are, 7PBK, 7VWH, 77FP, 77BFB and a 777SK. Also have 3 Rg's, RG505 Limted edition DY, only one per store was distributed in 1999, RG550 BK, RG550 LTD PT and a Roadstar 540 with some mad multicolour finish all over it.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hey folks,

My name is George, I'm from Toronto. I've always been a big Strat fan and have two of them - both with scalloped necks, Dimarzio pickups, custom shielding and wiring, but one day bought a used RG-570 loaded with EMG-81/SA/81 pickups.

You would think as a huge Satch and Vai fan I'd have known how playable Ibanez axes were, but the RG-570 was a revelation.

I'm now in the process of getting an alder JEM body made and swirled for me, and tracking down a new Prestige neck to put together my own "custom JEM". I like doing my own guitar wiring and electronics projects, dinking around with rack systems and doing some home recording. Looking forward to checking out the site and participating in the forums.

Merry Christmas!

George

What's going on my name is Jon... I've been reading the forums a lot lately and figured I'd join since I have a lot of my own questions about stuff (like what to do with my rg320 lol). I've been playing for about 6 years. I'm sure I'll be talking to some of you in the near future.
