Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi! My name is Oliver. I'm 21 years old and I live in Serbia.
My dream is a Ibanez JEM, but that will stay only a dream cuz I don't even have money for an amp so, I'm using my stereo. :/
I have a Washburn and got it recently by trading a Ibanez GRX with a + 100EUR. I had to do this cuz I desperately need a guitar with a Floyd Rose and my Ibanez didn't have one and the volume knob was bad and other things. Tgis guitar now is great but, like I said my dream is to have a JEM one day. The rest of my gear is just a humble guitar effects processor DigiTech RP10. I know what you're thinking, but everything is so expensive here that even this crap cost me 550EUR in a shop.
And even the RG series here are up to 800-900EUR, not to mention how much is a JEM.

As far as what I play and listen...
The music I play is: Steve Vai, Malmsteen, J.S.Bach, baroque, classic, Joe Satriani, violin compositions, church organ compositions, harpsicord compositions, piano compositions...some other instrumentals and non instrumental songs I like...

The music I listen is: Steve Vai, Malmsteen, baroque, classic, church organ compositions, harpsicord compositions, violin compositions, piano compositions, gothic, ambiental, some bands, some songs, some stuff I can’t explain...

I have some recordings of my playing, but I have no one to send them too in hope of that person helping me with my and my bands career. The recordings are of some Malmsteen and Steve Vai instrumentals, Bach and a few more. Those were recorded a couple of months ago I think and with the Ibanez I mentioned. I'm planning on making new recordings cuz this Washburn has a Floyd Rose, a great sound and a great neck and jumbo frets. With my former Ibanez guitar Iit sounded like I'm sliping sometimes cuz it made a lot of hum and such noise.

Hmmm...what else....Oh yeah, I have a band and I'm also planning on making a solo album. And I also play the bass guitar in another band.

Um,I first took a guitar in my hands about 5 years ago. So, I play the guitar for only 5 years now...yeah I know, a late start, but hey, better late than never right.

My interests not related to music are: vampires, goth, succubi, fantasy, RPGs, black wine, mansions, castles and many other things I can't think of right now.

I'm also very good at image manipulation which I like very much.

Well, that's itsy-bitsy about me.

Hi everybody. Im Nathan from the Philippines. I have 2 Ibanez with me, one is an EX270 (borrowed from a friend), and the other is a Talman TC620. From what ive researched so far, i have the rare version where the headstock matches the color of the body. Its a really great sounding guitar! Love it to death!

New dude!

Hey, my name is Josh, I am from alabama and I am a complete Ibanez nerd. I do alot of research on the high end guitars, also I am a player specializing in Death/Black metal and shred, so to all you you guys the satanic metal may be a bit over the top for your tastes but I love it.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi all. My name is Brian. I'm 36 yrs old and have been playing since I was 17. I've been a member of this forum for a few years but have only posted a couple of times. I figured I should finally introduce myself. My gear is:

- 2003 Ibanez rg1570 royal blue (refitted w/ Evolution bridge and HFH neck)
- Fender Lead III (love the neck on this guitar, currently out of service)
- Crate g1500 solid state half stack
- Podxt Live

Right now I'm saving up for a JS. As soon as I have her I'll be sure to post pics. Take Care

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

hello there, ive been out of the guitar for about seven years now while pursuing a career in rugby (the two dont mix).
anyway, im back and my fingers are all mended with my aging RG450 which I bought in 1991 for the princely sum of £400. its heavily used and due for another (again) refretting. this gives rise to a dilemma..... do I shell out £200 on a refret or just buy a JEM ????? and if I do buy a JEM.... which one ???????
I am like a confused old man who has lost track of technology, I hate jumbo frets (or is this something I will get used to?) that seem present on most steve vai guitars.
also, guitar setup on most ibanez guitars off the hanger seems crap...
am I the only one that thinks this.
thats why ive joined this site, I know NOTHING, ive played for a long time but have lost touch.

like y'now.... whatishredding.......... ;P

Hi, my name is Tom and i've been playing for about 4 years, but only been serious about it for 2. I joined the forum a few months ago but never got around to posting. I'm 20 years old and i have about 9 guitars, my favorites being a kramer pacer custom 2 and my ibanez JS. I listen to a lot of guitar instrumental stuff, and a lot of older christian rock stuff. Nice to meet you all!
