Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

hi everyone.
been here at least a month or two, but im shy and quiet until i plug in.
played ibanez since late 80's so dont laugh at the gray hair.
i have an ibanez 470 loaded with dimarzio super distortion and evolution neck
prs santana se loaded with dimarzio x2n and some other dimarzio ???
ibanez rg 7421 stock and play line 6 only.
my best friend just shelled out 2000.00 at guitar center for a 7vwh and let me play it and i was like " wife, i need to sell all of this crap and buy a jem! " , she laughed until she realized i was serious, then she laughed and said i was nuts.
i like being crazy. i would like some assistance from the jem elders that have played more than one model of jem. im told that jems have a countersunk tremelo that gives them a more loose responsive feel. i would like to know if that is the case on 77fp's as well as 7vwh. any help would be most appreciated. and im sorry if i rambled too much , like i said quiet until i plug in

What's happening people my name is Travis and I'm from Nashville, TN. I'm 22 and just started playing guitar, playing on a friend's Ibanez now but will be buying my own soon. I'm really into the the jems but I'll probably be purchasing something more along the lines of an RG550 because I don't have $1500 to drop right now. Looking forward to reading the forums.
Peace,
Travis

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi my names is Mike. I have been playing guitar for 18 years. I Love to play Blues and Rock. I play a little metal every now and then, but I have been focusing on classical alot latley to discipline myself more and to be able to smoother and more precise in my playing. I have a number of guitars: A shorline gold Lonestar Strat with maple neck, A hot pink 87 Charvel Ft worth San dimas body, A 91 Strat with reverse headstock and gibson Paf humbuckers, an I banez acoustic, I had and RG550 until a friend in a drunken stoop dropped her and broke her in half alll i have left is the neck. I am searching for a Jem PMC at the moment but have been unlucky in my quest. I have been considering building a clone but, it wouldn't be a re real one!

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

My name is David from Indianapolis. I bought a Jem 7VWH a little over a year ago, and love it! I had an RG 550 in the early 90's, and have wanted another Ibanez since selling it. I play in a band called Hollywood, along with my Twin brother. Our 1st show with the new lineup is next Wednesday. We're playing with a band called Naked Beggars, (which Eric Brittingham and Jeff LaBar from Cinderella are in) and Marq Torien's (Bulletboys) new band. Since reforming with new members a few months ago, this will be the first show that I'll get to play the Jem! Can't wait! Nice forum here. Keep up the great work.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hello everyone! I've been in the market for a JEM for about 3 months and have found this site very informative. I think a JEM would be the perfect guitar for my home studio and a much better alternative than using my 62 Fender Strat (action too high for me). Anyways, that's about all from over here.
