Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi my name is Neil. I've been playing guitar for about 23 years now and I still can't read a note. When I tried to read music I was told by my teacher (of a week) that it would take years to be able to read where my playing ability is. So hearing that I dumped him and continued to play by ear. I like to play a lot of different styles. Presently I 'm playing a lot of Joe Satriani material but I started out playing Yes, Rush, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. I own three guitars, an Ibanez JS100BP, Les Paul Custom, and my beautiful Kramer Floyd Rose signature which has some interesting history behind it. I came to this site to learn more about guitar setup and electronics which this site has helped me out a lot. Too all out there I say be cool, help each other out, and keep playing. Music heals all...

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

I'm Chris.

Playing since 1999, can't shred at all, despite a repectable collection of shredder guitars. I just have "stupid fingers". Power metal is the music of choice.

I've owned five Ibanez as of 4/2/2006:
2000 GRX22
1997 RG550
1984 Destroyer bass
1989 T.Red Exotic Wood USA Custom
1990 Silver Pea**** USA Custom (they censor out half of that finish's name don't they)

Also have some non-ibanez, which I won't mention for fear of being stoned/banned.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

James Aka-Rockman here. Never been here before. Just kinda cruised on in. Thinking of buying an SA160 or GSA60 guitar as a second guitar to my Fender "none more black strat". I am currently playing lead guitar with a local group here in Sacramento and we're thinking of gigging this year soon. I also have a line 6 HD 147 halfstack I play through with a digitech gnx4 guitar processor. Any way,any opinions on ibanez guitars are appreciated. I already know they make some very good instruments though. I have been playing some where around 25 years and I can tear up a guitar pretty well.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi, I'm from Spain and I'm a big fan of Ibanez, but I don't own any.
I'm a big fan of Satch, Vai, Timmons, Gambale, Petrucci, Gilbert... but my main influences are Richie Sambora, Neal Schon, Shawn Lane, Brent Mason & Dann Huff.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

New to Jemsite and thought that I would say hi. I currently live outside of Toledo, OH with my wife and three cats. I started playing guitar at 12 (28 now) when my father bought me a strat. I sold my guitar though shortly after joining the army back in '96 and have not touched a guitar up until a couple months ago when I decided to get back into it. I managed to get my hands on a Ibanez RG320FMTL, and as recently as last night I replaced the INF4 in the bridge to a Dimebucker (wow what a differance, and now I have to decide on the neck). I also use a Line6 Spider 112 50 watt combo for practacing in the house (I know, I know, but I can't afford tube power quite yet). Anyways I have to put my training wheels back on so please be gental on my playing ability
