Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi all, just wanted to say hi.

I recently started making guitars (actually retrofitting existing guitars) with clear acrylic bodies and one of the models that I really like is the JEM style body. I will post some pics later, I think there is a thread where you can show your guitars? I've made a few now and the get improved all the time. One of the big differences that I was hoping to get some help with here is how to (if it's even possible) modify a Floyd Rose to fit into 1.25 or possibly 1.5 inch thick material. I like to keep them thin because of the weight...The ones I've made so far have fixed bridges. Anyway you'll be hearing more from me in other threads...

Peace

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

hi, i'm Daniel, i've played guitar for 2 and a half years and all that jazz. i own a Schecter C1 silver sparkle guitar, an Ibanez AX7521 (the japanese version of the 7221) and other non-important guitars. As for amps, i own a Line 6 Spider II 112, and a Randall RH100 head, which i need a good cab for. Also, i take lessons from Rusty Cooley.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hello, my name is Bobby, and I'm a Vaiaholic! I'm 31 and have been playing since I was 10. 10 years ago I gota married to my beautiful wife and had my 3 amazing kidz. Thats the reason I haven't played for the last 10 years . About a month ago I decided I would get back to playing and into a practice regimen of at least an hour a day. Man, what a difference practice makes!! Thanks to all you guys and gals who have posted great advice for practicing. I'm now playing my RG 570 and my Jem 555BK (with the correct hardware on it) through either my Line6POD or my GT6 into a Crate GTX65. Most of my other equipment was sold off. I mat start into gear buying again, but not until I get better at my technique.
I'll hang around here for a while and soak up the ambiance. If there's anything I can do to help my fellow guitarists, please give me a ring.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi,
I am Mike. i live in New Jersey. I mostly read the JS forum, but do look for any discussions on Radius models too. I love Ibanez JS/Radius style guitars, but have only been playing since '99, so never owned an original Radius. My guitars are:

JS1000BP (purchased from Rich Harris - great experience)
JS2000
540R LTD in Ruby Red (recent auction win)
RG270 (the beater I leave at work for lunch hour jams)
Fender Lite Ash Strat

The 540 is my favorite to play - easy on my little hands. The JS1000 is next with the impeccable RH setup.

Anyway, I love checking in when time permits to learn about the history of Ibanez guitars, learn setup tips and keep up on the JS/Radius lines. Hopefully I can contribute along the way...
