New members - introduce yourself here.

Hello all, my name is Bob and im a new member as of 5-7-05. Im 26 years old from IL and have been playing guitar on and off for about 13 years and I still suck at it. Quit playing for a while because I got into racing so didnt have much time to sit and play, to busy working on the car. Got back into playing again about a year ago. Just bought my first Jem a few months ago and its the best guitar I have yet to play.

Thumbs up Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi,

My name is Thijs, and a happy new member to this Board.

I play bass most of the time, and though my main bass is Fender jazz, i love my old Ibanez Roadstar II as well, which i use as a backup bass during shows. I found jemsite.com trying to sell my Ibanez 6-string guitar (of which i'm still completely unsure which one it is, kinda like RG450), and well, it required me to register to this board so here i am!

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hey there folks,

My name is James, I've been playing since 1989. I started learning on a not-so-great Squier HM Series, but graduated to a RG 570 in 1991. Since then well its been an obsession with RG's , they are the ultimate workhorse guitar.

Currently I have:
RG USA Custom, RG770DXVM, RG770GI, RG570BK, RG550DXPN, RG7620GN, RG1527CB, RG565BK, Guitar Center 27th Ann. RG, RGR-470LTD, RG520QS, 2 RG560LR's, RG7420Mc, and an RG7421BK.

Recently I added a 540R-JB to the mix along with a Epiphone Explorer FR modded with EMG 60N/81B combo and replaced the stock Floyd with a spare Lo-Pro edge I had sitting around.

I have been reading the Jemsite forums, and website for a very long time now. I saw a thread concerning an RG USA Custom very similiar to mine recently and decided to register to respond to this thread.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hello everyone. My name is Josh, I've been playing for about 5 years, I'm currently in a rather bad ass band, If I do say so myself. I started on a complete p.o.s., and now have an RG7420BP with an EMG81-7 in the bridge and an EMG707 in the neck. For an amp I have a Mesa Dual Rec running through two Marshall 1960A Lead 4x12 cabs. My collection of guitars is sure to grow. I'm doing kind of a backwards transition to here from sevenstring.org, I see a lot of people coming in from here so I figured I'd check it out.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi all, Arthur is my name. Am from melbourne australia. Have recently become the lucky owner of a new Jem7VWH. still cant believe it but is true....lol
Have afew questions though. hope someone can help. First off, the bridge studs are supposed to have 1.5mm allen key locking screws in them. These are not on my guitar. Secondly is it possible to trace the serial number to find out when the guitar was made? Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer these questions for me.
Seems to be the trend, so here goes.....Play the jem through a very, old very modified Marshall JCM800 with a Boss ME-50 for the fun stuff. My other axes are a gibson les paul studio dlx, a hand crafted strat copy made by a western australian company called formentin and an old charvel.
Been cruisin the site since i got the jem and i gotta say it rocks. hope to do abit 'o learnin round these parts. Thanks all.

Im triying to customize my Jem 555 and have a Maison St777 model (its the model number but no relted to jems) and a Alhambra classic guitar. Not a great gear, but really good considering my cash.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hello all (well, anyone who reads this I guess)

I've been reading Jemsite for a while and decided I'd join all you fine folk for a good ol' fashioned ho-down (pointy headstock style of course)...

I'm currently selling my Jem555 (I can hear the cheers now) in favour of a custom job I'm planning - Ibanez-ish.
