Re: New members - introduce yourself here.
G'day guys,
My name's Mark, obviously haha. I was born in South Africa, moved to New Zealand when iwas 4 and came here to Melbourne, australia when I had just turned 14.
Been
playing guitar
for nearly 3 years, I own a 7620 that I customized. it has an EMG707 in the bridge, stained green which is soon to be painted green, and I have ordered a smoked black chrome pickguard for it. Can't wait
. Amp wise, I'm using a Line 6 2x12 and a
Peavey Ultra
head, love my tone.
I'm trying to get my hands on a new 6 string at the moment, keeping my eyes out.
Not much else to say
Peace
Mark. A

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.
Hello everybody!
My name is Piotrek and I live in Szczecin (in Poland). I'm 18 years old and I play guitar since I was 7 y.o. I've played the classic guitar for over 10 years and now (for about 8 months) I play the
electric guitar
. I don't have a good equipment (Mayones KZ - guitar, Peavey Rage 15W, Marshall Supervibe and Jackhammer), but I wanna to buy new guitar
When I will play good the guitar, then I will set a new band. I like every kind of music (rock, metal, funky, blues). My favourite band is
Pink Floyd
. I wish I could play as David Gilomur or Steve Vai...
That's all!
Thanks everybody

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.
I'm not a professional guitarist. However, I've been playing for 25 years and own the following guitars:
Ibanez RG1570
Gibson SG '61 Reissue w/ Lindy Fralin Humbuckers
Fender Stratocaster
'69 Relic
Taylor 614CE
My main amp rig is an Egnater Mod 50 into an Egnater 2x12 with Celestion G12H Heritage Series Speakers. I have 8 of the Egnater dual channel preamp modules, but I mostly use the Deluxe and the EG3/4 modules. I also have some additional combos and cabinets, and I'm building an Egnater modded JTM45 kit next week at the Egnater amp building seminar.
Years ago, before the Internet (around 1990), I saw my first Ibanez. It had the smallest fret board radius I've ever seen. It must have been 5 inches. Does anyone know what I am talking about? I hated it, and never looked at another Ibanez again, until recently.
I once owned an Aria Pro 2 XR with a
Floyd Rose bridge
(also pre-Internet). I pawned it to buy gas to drive across country and go to law school. The bridge on that guitar always gave me problems, and I avoided floating bridges for years after that. I know now that the bridge wasn't set up right.
I purchased the RG1570 so I can cover 80's metal and the like. I like my new Ibanez so far, and I am enjoying using the Internet to research information on how to setup and maintain it. So I hope you don't mind if I hang around and ask a few questions.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.
Hello, I'm Jason. I am a producer/engineer and musician, and I have been lurking at this site for what seems like a million years. It has always been a valuable resource. I have been the proud owner of 50+ guitars over the last 15 years, and the one I miss most is my Jem777DY. (doh!)
I'll be looking to build a Jem soon, hopefully with some killer swirl going on! That said, I'm always interested in beater Jems.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.
Hey. I'm Tony from Tennessee. I quit playing for a long time and made some new friends a couple of years ago that got me playin' again. I first got a
peavey wolfgang
, and it was pretty cool. But then I discovered Vai and Satch's music and there the personal revolution began. Been playing hard for the past year and a half, and picked up a superb JEM 7vwh on **** about a year ago for a good price. It is pretty much pristine. Anyway, I have a professionally set up and modded JS100 that plays like a dream, and a Gibson. But there is most certainly something special about the JEM. Nothing like it. Anyway, I appreciate this site and all who keep it up and running. Thanks for this vast resource!

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.
Hi
My name is David and I’m from Sweden. I’ve been visiting the JEM site now and then for quite some time and I finally took the opportunity to register here. I think the site is really great and it seems to be good place for solving technical problems and so on…
My colletion of instrumenst includes an Ibanez UV7BK, an RG550LTDBK and an
Ibanez bass

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.
Hey all!
I'm a guy from Norway, having a few guitars (trying to play once in awhile); One a Charvel with originally Jackson hardware from late 80's, an Ibanez accustic '05 and a Ibanez JEM 555 BK from '97.
My inspiration comes mainly from Jimmy Page,
Jimi Hendrix
, Edward Van Halen, Steve Vai and
Joe Satriani
. I would love to own a Ibanez Universe 7-string UV77MC or a Ibanez JEM2KDNA. Sure there is other guitars of other brands also I would love to own, but I smart enough to not mention those brands in this forum.
And yes, I love EVO and FLO but white guitars is like white football shoes, looks stupid on an amateur, rocks on a legend!
