Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Aloha all,

I'm mainly a Jackson player and am registered over at JCFOnline with the same handle. Just picked up an RG 550, and thought I would join here as well, to get to know some Ibanez fans...

Cheers!

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi, I'm Casey I'm 19 and from Oklahoma, in the US. I play a lot of metal but really I play anything. I'm mainly a Jackson player as well but I've been looking at Ibanez a lot more so I thought I'd come over here, I've been on UG for a while, and get more familiar with the Ibanez guitars and stuff before I rush out and get one.

Hey there,

I'm a shredoholic and I refuse to go to rehab for my addiction...There is just too much temptation out there for me to stay clean so bring it on. I look forward to all opinions and viewpoints to hone my version of the world according to me.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hello Jem fans,

I've been visiting this site for years now and finally got around to joining the forum. I'm 34, live in West Virginia and have been playing guitar for around 15 years. My wife is a nurse and has diagnosed me with g.a.s. (guitar aquisition syndrome as I've learned here). She felt the best remedy was for me to be around others who have been aflicted with this same ailment. My current symptoms are as follows;

Ibanez Jem 20th anniversary
Ibanez Jem 7VWH
Ibanez Jem 77VBK
Ibanez RG550 MXXDY 20th anniversary
Ibanez RG550 MXXRF 20th anniversary
Ibanez RG550 RXXBK 20th anniversary
Ibanez RG7620
Ibanez RGT42DXFM
Fender american deluxe Stratocaster HSS LT
Gibson Les Paul Studio
Alvarez PS100
Yamaha classical
1937 Rickenbacher acoustic/electric
Ibanez Mikro GRGM51HP (my son's gift from Santa)

Carvin Legacy Half Stack
Line 6 AX2-212

Hi everyone.

My name is Hans Petter and I'm from Norway. I'm 31 years old and I've played guitar since I was 14. I own an USA Custom which I bought in 1990 (more on that later and in another thread...).

I look forward to reading and writing here and to learn from you all.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hello, I'm Stephan from Thunder Bay, ON Canada. I was looking for information about guitars and came across this site.. Very helpful. I have been playing the same few songs for years but have recently up'd my interest in playing and have started out with a few cheap items to get me going. The first guitar purchase was a LCT24 Lyon by Washburn, entry-level guitar which was actually quite nice for the price. My most recent purchase is a Vintage v100 Icon "lemon drop" which I am finding to be a great value especially since I cannot afford thousands of dollar Les Pauls atm. I bought a Crate vtx65B combo amp which i got for a little over cost so it was a really good value too. I find with my lemon drop/amp rig I can get a nice range of tones (from nice sounding cleans, to Jimmy page style crunch, to Metallica's scooped distortion). I know you all have wonderful tube amps and American guitars worth trillions of dollars but I am quite satisfied with my rig atm.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hey, Rory here, from Burton in England (staffordshire).
I use an Ibanez S470 (Linda) which I'm currently saving up to get a new paintjob, fretboard and set of pickups for her, I also use a Carvin Bolt T in emerald green with blackburst edges, these go into a Laney LC15.
I'm a Vai and Paul Gilbert obsessive, also, just thought I'd share.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi I'm Paul , heading for the big 5 oh this year and marking 40yrs playing guitar. I had a gas attack last year after spotting a jem 90th and can't put it down. This site helped enormously in making the purchase decision and setting the thing up after. many thanks to you guys.
I've also got a self built jem/strat, a 5 pickup strat alike, an aria pro 2, variax 300, terada classical and an echo 12 string. I'm only playing at home at the minute so go though a v-amp pro to a self built pc with all sorts of stuff on it via a fcb1010 uno chipped midi board. If anyone spots the guitarist nov 98 jem90th review let me know as I'd love to read it.
keep on rockin....
