Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hello everybody!

My name is Vyacheslav, I'm from Russia, but at the present moment I live in Austria. I really like Ibanez guitars and 80s heavy metal, so no big surprise about guitar choice: I own RG550MXX.
Happy to join this forum,

Cheers!

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Whats going on everyone! Glad to be a Jemsite member finally! I own a plethora of guitars, but my Ibanez collection is a PGM301, and a RG370DX. Im currently on the lookout for a RG2550Z. Hopefully one day I'll be a proud owner of a Jem777DY or floral!

My main amp is a Mesa/Boogie Mark III blue stripe.

I play in a band full time (www.myspace.com/ytwwvofficial)

Glad to be a part of the Jemsite family!

Hello
My name is Robert and I have an Ibanez RGEXFM1 with Dimarzio Evolution pickups (love it) an Epiphone Les Paul Ultra, Yamaha Classical, and Squier Strat.
I already have one post, its in the repairs section. Its about fret shinyness and neck stickyness. I would appreciate the help.

Hey, my name is Andrew, I've been playing for almost 5 years now, and I am heavily influenced by Vai and Paul Gilbert.
Glad to be a part of this site - I've learned so much already!

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Yo, I'm Dizzy, I like to play and I currently live in Chicago and write rock and roll songs with Felon Love. I've used this site a lot.

Some of my current toys:
Mesa Triple Rect
Jackson Rhoads
Custom fretless RG7621 w/ sustainiac
Custom "frankensteined" Swirl Jem w/ Tone Zone, YJM & PAF pro..
Effects kinda rotate a bit depending on what I'm doing. lately it's been very minimal, just the amp, a cord and guitars..

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hey, name's Dave. I rock an RGEXFM1, hoping to get an S series soon. I have a hard-on for DiMarzio, Ibanez (Durr) and Fender. I play bass, guitar, sing, and am slowly but surely learning to blow some harp. Vai got me into Ibanez, Satch and Gilbert are keeping me there. I've built a couple basses, I LOVE buying cheapo instruments and tricking them out. I'm always on the lookout for sub $100 instruments, btw. I dig talking instruments, I may like making instruments more than making music. Hit me up on AIM, I like talking music!

Hi, I'm a Roadster 2 RS440 owner, have had the guitar for 25 years. Played great and was very reliable until I decided to tinker 20 odd years ago (Vai influence, got greedy!). Basically I screwed up the set up. I played on, but intonation was never quite right - especially G string at around 2nd 3rd fret. I recently paid good money to have the guitar set-up, £70 - probably the price of the guitar, but it still wasn't right and now has a buzzing high "E" to boot. This guitar means a lot to me, a lot of good memories, I know its a quality item that just needs set-up right and I would really appreciate any advice on how to return it to its "factory settings".

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

I’ve been playing guitar for ten years mainly blues and 70s metal though slowly getting into more modern stuff. I’m lead singer in Norfolk (England) based hard rock band Super Action Heroes.

My guitars: I have just bought a new RG2550mz (got it yesterday I love it so much) and a customised DeArmond M75t with bigsby trem and Seymour Duncan custom mini humbuckers. I put these through a Mesa Boogie Heartbreaker (my dream amp) with an MXR Zakk Wylde pedal a killer combination.

Favourite guitarists: Neil Young, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Eddie Van Halen, Slash, BB King, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Paul Gilbert, Brian May, Satchel. The list goes on an on.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hello Everyone! My name is Mark. I just picked up a 1994 RG550 Ltd BLK so I'm very excited. Looks like a lot of very cool people on this site so I'm very excited to have people to talk about my guitars with. Non guitar players don't want to hear this stuff. I've been playing for 25 years. I actually owned an rg years & years ago and traded it in to get a flying V (big mistake on my behalf) which wasn't a good fit for me. A few years ago I picked up one of those Korean AR200 goldtop Artists I A/B'd with other guitars in it's price range and it had so many sweet spots I couldn't believe it. Through a duncan jazz in the neck & a JB in the bridge and ended up with an absolutley killer guitar that sustains great tone forever. I had forgotten how great the necks on Ibanez guitars played. Recently I had been thinking about something with a floating tremolo and started playing ESP, Jackson etc at the guitar shop and kept going back to this higher end RG prestige that was on the wall. It played as good or better than the rest but the tone with the DiMarzios was so much better for me than let's say the esp's with emg pickups. So I began to learn more about the RGs and found this MIJ very cheap online and now I'm here to make friends and ask many questions. Funny thing is as I've said I haven't had a tremolo system in almost two decades and I'm sure from what I've read that the edge lo pro is great but man after having this guitar for two days I think I really took for granted the fact that with a fixed bridge you just don't worry about the bridge once it's installed. With this guitar the bridge is everything of concern. I'm willing and will tackle the setup. OK. look forward to hearing from everyone.
