Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi all ,
My name is Jack and I live in Upstate NY . I have been playing guitar heavily for 8 years now and really enjoy it . I used to have a 1987 rg550 rfr but sold it so I am currently on lookout for another one ! I have got a lot of very useful information of this site so finally registered an account here . Some of my guitars are fender hrr strats , and a charvel usa production model . Amps I play are the ENGL SE EL34 and a Marshall Plexi 100w head that was modified by Scott Splawn . Looking forward to the good info from the forums and will contribute back in any way I can !

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hey my name is Riley, I've been playing for about 10 years (but only 3 seriously). I just absolutely love the Jems and RGs sleek shape. I only have a RG370DXL and a Seagull S6 acoustic right now. After seeing some of the projects coming out of here I've been totally inspired and I will be building and modding some of my own guitars in the near future I think. Soooo much good useful info and smart people here I look forward to learning lots.

I'm 30 and live in Seattle, WA. I've been an Ibanez fan since I got my first EX series 15 years ago. Right now I have a '91 RG550 and an '85 Roadstar II that I need some help identifying as it's specs don't seem to match any model number of that year. I'll be posting pictures in a relevant thread shortly.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

My name is Tyler F. and I live in Gresham, Oregon, near Portland. I have been playing guitar for 11 years and am 29 years old. I also am looking for a band to join. I write very interesting lyrics about occult, sex, revenge, new age, and other fairly unique topics too numerous for now. I am big on metal, but also can play accoustic guitar aptly. My influences are: life; Megadeth, Metallica, White Zombie, Nirvana, NIN, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Satyricon, Marilyn Manson(some), Slayer, Children of Bodom, Cradle of Filth, Black Sabbath, Dio, etc. If anyone lives in the area, my email is

zeromus822@yahoo.com Keep the faith!!

5. Squier CV'60

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hello

I'm Jason 39 from England.

Bought the white Jem 7VWH with the ebony board about a year ago and my guitar playing has improved more in that year than the previous 20 on the RG550. I had previously thought some things were just impossible to play, but it turns out it was just the guitar; always thought that was just an excuse the plebs used and then it turns out to be true.
Sometime in that year it dawned on me that I had morphed from a user to a collector, and I would like to get a Blue Floral for the maple board and a green multi-colour, (no explanation necessary its green and black), at some point.

Just play in the house trying to work out big hair classics; need to have my Jake, Warren and George stuff ready for when I find that time portal back to 1982.

Name check to giantrobot9000 on youtube who is an inspiration.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi, name's Joelan, and I'm a student in Australia.

Been playing guitar for 8 years, and bass for 6. Started with classical, owned a Squier Strat for a few years and finally got myself a decent electric a few weeks ago, an Ibanez RG7620. I've been a fan of Ibanez the second I picked up a six string RG, and after gaining an appreciation for extended range instruments decided to make my next guitar a seven string RG, and I'm loving it

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hello

I'm 49 and just bought an IC300 at a local pawnshop. They included a CoffinCase size gigunda. Like other Iceman owners, I'm looking for an appropriate case.

I've just started playing guitar a year ago after a layoff of about 15 years. I'm not that good. I like lots of stomp boxes.

My other guitars are a strat copy with a Fender neck, and a child's size Squire Strat (it's highly portable).
