Hey Everyone,
I am 46 and started teaching myself about 6 months ago. I now have a teacher and am improving daily. I am saving for an RG370DX in Black. My teacher has one and it is sweet. My musical tastes run from heavy metal to country to blues.

My Gear
Washburn DK20CET Accoustic/Electric
1987 Lotus Strat HSS

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

dig it!

i have lurked here a while....figured i ought to join

i was a JEM user pretty hardcore from 88-93.

had a 77FP that was an early prototype that belonged to Vai, that is now in the Hard Rock Cafe collection.

my main player was a 777 in pink, loved that guitar, you can see/hear it in action in the studio for a live radio broadcast i did in 1991 here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTZKP_MTrdQ

has a 77 BFP that was pretty cool, but the neck was thinner than my other JEMS, so i got rid of it.

and a 777 purple multicolor swirl.....NEVER should have sold that one, it was AMAZING.....but i got that in 93, when i was shifting away from locking trem guitars and went back to playing strats.

i had at least 8 JEMS during that time, and they are still one of my fave guitars. recently, i have been feeling the need to get one back.

i prefer the maple neck 777 series JEMS from 88-92.....pink, yellow, green, or PMC.

green and PMC are way out of my price range.

maybe i'll get lucky and score a DSY or SK model for under $2K.......

these days, i am still a professional guitarist, play a lot of gigs in the miami and key west area.

i also in the last couple of years have become a "stunt guitarist" for several pedal effects companies, and have TONS of pedal effects demos at my youtube site:

youtube.com/roccotanto

my faves are BJFe, Mad Professor, Catalinbread, and the new Line 6 M9.

i'm a virgo, like long walks on the beach, dining out, and slow wet kisses

a big ROCK HELLO to the JEMSITE peoples from BOBBY D!

in the studio with my 777Sk in 1991:

in concert, opening for Eric Gales, 1991, with my pink JEM

me with a 77Fp in 1992 or so....

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hello Everyone,

I've often checked out Jemsite to browse at pictures, etc. I'm happy to finally give in and join =)

As for gear, I don't have as much as I once did - but my 1988 Ibanez RG550 (desert yellow)/Line 6 Bogner 1x12 have kept me satisfied for the past haf year. My pedal collection is still pretty simple: Dunlop 535Q, Boss Gigadelay, and an AMT california sound (love this pedal).

See you all in the forums!

-Andy

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Heya my name is Jason, I'm from Penrith in Australia and I'm an Ibanezaholic.

I have a 450S which I purchased new in 1991 - when my time comes I am to be cremated with this guitar.

A very early Pink Jem, the original owner informed me this was one of the first JEMs to be importedto Australia.

My other guitars include a Rocket Roll MkII, Universe 7 Sting with the swirl finish, Destroyer MkII, a Korean Paul Gilbert model, an old 1969 3904, a an absolutely stunning 1974 59'er, a Cimar which I accidently purchased on **** while intoxicated and a project 540SLTD which I'm just starting.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

My name is Dan - live in Greensboro, NC.
41 years old with a major guitar habit.

I was posting over at harmony-central asking about Ibanez guitars and was directed here. Looking for something like an RG or Jem...I've heard great things about the 'wizard' necks and think it's time to learn more abou the best models and start the hunt to buy one.

This is the result of my habit.

2 years ago, I had the Green PRS, the LP Std and the Orange guitar that I built myself back in 93 (did the body from scratch and have an ESP neck on it) - so the habit has gotten worse...I guess addictions are like that. I play them all...just depends on the mood I'm in, so they aren't just wall art.

Looking forward to learning and getting my hands on a nice Ibanez.
