Greetings to Jemsite members from Korea

Hello to all the members on Jemsite. Im new to this site but have found
it very interesting and educational...
I have a humble Js100, a 7 string ibanez and a Dean guitar
I have a JSX peavey head and a marshall cab.
I have a GNX4 that i usually play and practice with along songs on You tube...
I surely am a VAi fan, but im lookin at gettin a new js2400 or at least a
1000. If i get mo money i will get a jem.
i started late to play guitar, so it like teachin an old dog to be tricky...
but i enjoy it as a hobbie. On the other hand, i have had many chances to
play on stage here in Korea, i do my best and usually they like me!
I play Eagles, and other rock as well as sing and play korean songs, which has a big shock effect here to see an american playin and singin in korean.
So im workin on my chops and woodshedin out songs like you really got me, Lagrange, Black magic woman, hotel Cal, and others..Look foward to
learnin alot on this site...some good players here i can see...

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Howdy All,

I've been playing guitar on and off since i was 12. I guess that makes it 20 years now! I was a massive Vai fan for years and then i went all indie. Moved over to the dark side as a bass player for a while playing in a "shoe gazer" originals band. Recently came across my copy of Passion and Warfare and the memories flooded back. It re-ignited the passion.. so to speak.
I re-bought my old JEM777DY and am lovin getting back into it. I also own a Gibson Thunderbird and an American Fender Jazz standard.

Enjoying reading all of our posts. Almost forgot, I'm from Sydney OZ.

cheers,

E

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

I can't remember if I've done this already...

I'm Joel. Performance Guitar Student at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Oklahoma City. I've been playing music for almost 19 years... Guitar for 16. My second guitar was a '95 Jem7VWH. I miss it a great deal... I was dumb enough to let a girlfriend convince me to sell it. She went not long after the guitar did. Just got my second Vai model... One I've been wanting for a very long time. A UV777. It's still in the mail, but I can't wait till it gets here.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hello, my name is Andrew. Been playing for 3 years now and I gotta say, I dig it. I started off cuz a friend wanted to start a death metal band, but I quickly found that I enjoy things besides metal. As a result I have been studying classical for a year and some change and am excited to learn about as many things as I can. As far as music I really enjoy the likes of Devin Townsend (SYL and solo), Ihsahn (of Emperor infamy), and a band from my hometown Phoenix, AZ: Lurid State. As guitars go I own a Jackson Dinky and Yamaha C-40 Classical, my only amp is a B-52 100A Stealth Series half-stack. (I have a solid state head, but plan on upgrading to tube when I and if I get money). I joined this forum not because I love everything Ibanez, but because I find that people who tend to enjoy music as eclectic as the likes of Steve Vai will appreciate some of the weird I find in the music and company I enjoy.

Hi. I'm Alex. I've been playing guitar for about 7 years, and I have finally realized the sexiness of Ibanez S Series guitars. Looking to pick up an S540 or two in the near future. Currently playing an ESP Eclipse II.
