Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hello, new member here. Just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Joe. I've been playing guitar since I was 14 (I'm 33 now). While I've never owned an Ibanez, I've been jonesing for a swirl finished Jem since about 1990, when I bought Steve Vai's "Passion And Warfare". I used to stare at pictures of his guitar in magazines, and wonder how the heck those swirl finished were done. So, now 20 something years later, I'm thinking of begining a new project. I'd like to build the Jem I've always wanted. I'm glad I found this forum.

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi all on this gr8 site...My name is Ricky and i am also known as Radical, since my skool days so the name has fast stuck....I live in Australia and am like most of you here an I banez fan and collector(no amount is too much for an Ibanez)...I have many different types of models rg's,jems,universes,540's and reverses, satchs, artstars, iceman, destroyers, roadsta rs,artists a George Benson ,Jacksons, charvels and a rare Guitars for the starz flame guitar(i love VAI), oh and dig this a couple of cimars but they sound better as they age.........Ibanez make a wonderful product that suits any style of playing. I mean u can go from mild to wild and then some....I wont go on too much,as i could probably waste every page on this site,so i will keep short and sweet and just say hi and Best Regards from Australia to one and all.Thank you.....

Mike From Amherst, Nova Scotia Canada

Hi everyone..I've been playing bass for 25 years and my son who is almost 14 is playing guitar .. He's into heavy metal and I guess I joined this group when he asked me if we could put new pick ups into his Ibanez 7 string RG7321. Altho this is the cheaper model he loves it and thats what counts. So were going to put in the emg's 707's I was wondering if anyone else has done that and what they thought about it. Thanks and nice meeting you all .. Mike and son Mike

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi, everybody...

My name is Kleyver Requena and I´m writing from Valencia, Venezuela.

I found this forum looking for reviews of the VTB 700 and luckyly had a couple of very interesting posts about this axe...

I just saw one in "MercadoLibre" (Latin American ****) and I seriously planning to get it...

I played a RG270 for a couple of years like 12 years ago and despite it came out of tune all the time, I just loved it... it always looked so "heavy stuff" to me... heheheee...

At the moment I have a MTM2 and just trash the original pickups and had a Dimarzio X2N fon the bridge position and a Dimarzio Evolution for the neck position and I can say, I´m extremely happy with the sound... come on... I just wanna play METAL...!!! hahahaaa...

However, I find this Ibanez V so very sexy, hehe, hope you know what I mean, hehe... and as a black guy, this white baby is just a spicy combination... heeheee...

Good to be able to share a few words with the users in this forum and I hope I can get lots of knowledge from you guys.

Cheers...!!! Salud...!!!

Patrick from Sackville, Nova Scotia, Canada

Hello everybody,

My name's Patrick Healy, and I'm a recording instrumental guitarist from Nova Scotia. I've been looking around here for a few months and I decided I need to be part of this community!

I have an Ibanez S7320 that I had refinished with a JS3 sort of vibe I'd like to share, which I will in a thread soon enough.

My name is Bryce and I'm a touring guitarist from Dallas, Tx.

My main guitars are an Ibanez Prestige RG 3550, Jon Kammerer Custom, and a Gibson SG standard. I'm currently using a Peavey 5150 and a Framus Dragon cab for my live rig.

Let me know what you think!

Re: New members - introduce yourself here.

Hi, my name's Jason and I've got GAS again

Been playing guitar for about 19 years, but I've taken some time off here and there (esp when my daughter was born). I finally decided to get back into playing again after a 3 year break, mostly for home recording. I'm hoping to pick up my second Ibanez shortly (my first was a Talman, which I still have).

Gear:
Music Man Axis Super Sport, Music Man Silhouette Special, Ibanez Talman (420 I think), Fender MIM Strat, homemade Warmoth Tele.
**Looking to add an older RG or Prestige soon**

Tech 21 Trademark 60 amp, Marshall DSL 50 head, Avatar 2x12 cab with V30 and G12H30.

Red Witch Dlx Moon Phaser, Keeley DS-1 SEM, Analog Man Clone Chorus.
