Re: New tuners for Vai - "the Via-ble" Solution??

In regards to Steve Vai "endorsing" everything I think what ppl need to realise is that its not so much Steve going out of his way to get as much free stuff as possible its more manufactures of guitar gear send stuff to Vai and if Vai accepts it then instantly they take that as "We can now say Vai uses our product to make others want to buy it". Having a player like Vai use ur gear is instant credibilty.

Steve has talked about this alot and he says hes now very careful what he accepts from companies simply because even if he accepts it and never uses it they will start touting that Vai uses there gear.

As for Fret Wave its an Australian Invention and all it is it just frets 1 and 2 with a kink in the fret on the G and B strings i think (running off memory hear not entirly sure) yeah and its supposed to aid intonation problems when making some types of chords, thats all i realy know about it.

Well, at least he's not like Zakk Wylde, who basically whores himself. Have you guys seen the Marshall MG ad? "The tone is slamming... the overdrive is crushing."

Slamming and crushing... I now have a strong urge to kick my MG now.

Regarding these tuners you guys are talking about, did you notice that Steve is using them on EVO and FLO throughout the whole Live at the Astoria DVD?

No. I've seen the whole think like 5 times, and I never noticed that. Have you seen it with the commentary? It's hilarious, but I think it peaks at Tony's solo.
