Purchased a New JEM, UV or other Ibanez guitar - ibanez tool
Often people are unaware what is included with the new JEM/UV (or other Ibanez guitar) you just purchased new from a dealer. The stuff below is included when you order in the USA from an authorized dealer.
Ibanez Tools and Accessories
Warranty Card and Other Accessories

Ummm....Glen- that's an 8mm socket.
Also, you might want to swap the 3mm and 4mm wrenches in the first pic. *I had to do a double-take to make sure the sizes were correct.

i dont know what you're measuring, but yes an 8mm wrench fits on that. So does a 9mm, 10mm, and up.
A 7mm socket is the tight fit and proper wrench to use. Of the 3 ibz wrenches i have, all 3 measure 7mm wall-wall. If you have a metric socket kit handy you can see first hand. Beware if you don't have thinwall sockets you must remove the
retainer bar

How does an 8-10mm item fit in a 7mm hole?
Either way... I just got out my socket kit... and it's 7mm exactly.

thanks jay
you can use a 10mm socket on a 7mm nut, but of course it will strip the head of the nut. NOT recommended. That is what Kev is doing w/ the 8mm socket  ...glen

Oh, ok the first time the entire picture didn't load so I didn't see them!
Glen, sorry to hear about your small sack. *My question is, why was Kevan looking at it? *

Shame they don't throw in the edge adjust tool with it, as it's a tool specific to the edge/lo-pro it seems a little odd.
Added to the fact that I've got next to no chance of locating one over here

This is good to know, as my first UV, purchased at GC, did not come with all the tools listed. It also came with a fender Whammy bar.
Buyer beware… and be informed.
I now have a briefcase dedicated to carrying every tool I need for my
Ibanez guitars
.

Guitar Center will send you out the door without a guitar if you don't pay attention. *
For some reason they think it's not necessary to include those items, and when they unpack the boxes the guitars ship in, they throw all of the tools and
trem arms
and paperwork into a plastic bin behind the counter. *At least that's what they do here in the Motor City!
