That looks great! To me it looks more like painting than photograph, maybe it's the floor and wall.

I started on a new model just to try NURBS's in modelling. It's not based on any real guitar.

Is there any way to show the guitar with the blue vine/maple neck a little clearer?

I might be able to make that one real...

Okay, that is the coolest chrome jem rendering I've ever seen. And this collection is the coolest new direction for Jem design I've ever seen.

I'm like, THIS close from starting some sort of formal letter to Steve Vai and Ibanez recommending you send these designs to Steve for consideration for future designs. This is a totally kickass new collection of Jems for 2k.

Whatdya say, fellow Jemsiters? I know Ibanez may be a tough nut to crack but damn, how could anyone ignore THIS???

As fantastic as a chrome JEM looks, I'm not sure Ibanez would go down the Chrome JEM path for a couple of reasons.

1. They had far too many production problems with the JS models for Satriani.

2. Joe's done it already !

It'd be great to see one come out though. Perhaps they would make one from Lucite if they did ?

I could just imagine what Satriani would say in an interview :

"So, what do you think of Steve's new chrome JEM Joe ?"
"Well I saw it and thought it looked pretty cool, and it's kinda nice that Steve has one, but you know I did it before him years ago !"

Didn't think the gold would be too far off !

Hehehehe, I didn't think it'd take this long to do a gold one !

Satriani gets a silver, Steve gets the gold, the crowd goes wild.

Hey loop....fantastic art, I love it!

Could you try a jem with the following specs?

Blue burst (black edges, dark blue center)
abalone binding on the body and headstock.
abalone vine on ebony fretboard
black/chrome pickups (1 bobbin chrome, 1 bobbin black)
clear pickguard

I think we'd all like to see one like that

It sure is great to see ideas become somewhat a reality. You can literally plan a project and see what it's going to turn out like before doing it.
