Wow, I have to be honest after looking at Rich's trem page I'm not liking this at all. No locking studs? To me that is the only thing that seperates Edges from Original Floyd Rose trems. Plus I just think the new Edges look ugly. Wow, I'm really disapointed. I'm going to stock up on locking studs and stick with the old trems. Why, Ibanez, why?

I'm gonna be optimistic and hope Ibanez has a powerful reason for this apparent 'downgrade'.

I like the fact that the say 'Ibanez' on them.

That Mike Mushok model is probably the 2nd most beautiful (to me) guitar I have ever seen. Of course the #1 would be a 7 string version

mmmm... the new 1527 looks nice, i like that it is nicely priced too and with the "good" trem (yet to be tested and approved ) the MM model is an extremely nice looking guitar if a 7 strring model came out it would be perfect.

A question about the new Zerorocker trems on the S guitars.


I'm curious, do the new Zerorocker trems have such a pullup range as to allow you to raise the G string up a fifth to D ala Steve Vai on his signature axes as well as on the RGs and still allow you plenty of divebomb room as well? I coulda sworn I heard something about the new S guitars' bodies being made slightly thicker this year so as to allow this. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

? It's mahogony/bubinga/mahogony. If I said maple I screwed up, like when I called the Zero Resistance the Zero Rocker, and the Edge Pro the Pro Edge, and, well, I don't handle tons of new info well, I need to digest it first before I "know" what I'm talking about

RG1570L - That's right, you lefties finally get a Prestige Lefty in the US!!! Same spec as the 1570 but in a lefty of course! There wasn't one at the show so no pics, but it is in the catalog!! Available in BK [Black]. $849.99 List price.

Dear god... Did anyone else SEE the list price on the 1527? The 7620 used to list for 1300... this is just over HALF that. Oh man i wish i wasn't broke... and the MM? god... if i had a job instead of tuition bills i'd buy them both.
