'80s Hair Tutorial?!
Hey guys.
We're having an 80s theme prom at high school (I'm in the band!), and was wondering whether any of you know how to get your hair in the "hair metal" style.
Something like this is what I'm looking for,
I know some of you guys lived in the 80s, so if someone could post a step-by-step tutorial, many thanks!

blow dry your hair with mouse in it whilst scrunching it in you hands, then add some more mouse after and scrunch it in your hands and wait for it to dry naturally. Then scrunch your hair when it dry to break up the dried mouse and you should get lots of huge loose curls, be wanred though do not go anywhere where the atmosphere is humid, your hair will flop and then go frizzy!

Re: '80s Hair Tutorial?!
My 'friday night routine' was:
wash it, liberally apply conditioner then rinse.
wrap hair in a towel for about half an hour then blow dry on lowest setting.
comb/brush thoroughly.
Then 'back-comb' it - take a few strands of hair and starting at the end comb TOWARDS the root and apply gererous amounts of hairspray to keep it up...

and yes we all want photos when you're done

Re: '80s Hair Tutorial?!
The trick is to spray and blow dry so it holds. Be careful of using too much spray as it can weigh your hair down...
I never used mousse, though I liberally used Stiff Stuff and Aqua Net. A very good spray that is out today is Aussie freeze spray. My other trick was using a small hair pick over a brush as it would allow me to get into smaller areas without messing up other finished parts.

Don't forget the makeup. Makeup was key to achieving "the look"
