You mean bullfights? Not me, I hate animals being mistreated for fun. But it's rooted deeply culturally in some areas in Spain, and a huge business that pays the bills for lots of people. So it's hard to get it stopped and forbidden.
The "running of the bull" or "el encierro" in Spanish is a ritual whereby the bulls that will be killed in the afternoon during the bullfight are rushed through the streets of the village or city in the early morning towards the stadium. Daredevils will run up with the bulls during that event. Lot's of people get hurt of even die in these "festivities" that take place all over the Spanish geography. It's a tradition that is hard to wield out, I guess.
Regards,
D.
