A Truly Devistating Day....
My 8-year-old Maine Coon Cat, just fell off the 10' high beam in the great room early this morning- he's 28 pounds and he did not land on his feet. I rushed him to the vet but his back was broken - I had no choice but to put him down immediately.
This just hours before me going into the hospital later today for a spinal procedure....can you believe it????
I haven't told my wife or daughter about the cat yet - they will be destroyed over his loss, but I guess it's better that I took care of everything to reduce their grief.
You really don't know how much your pet is a part of the family until you've lost them. This is much harded than I thought it would be........

Sorry to hear about your cat
28 lbs? Damn, that's big even for a Maine Coon. I know because my brother and his wife have one and he's around 18 or 20 pounds. Lots of hair all over their place -lol.

Re: A Truly Devistating Day....
We had a cat for 18yrs. and she died from thiroid cancer.
I had to force mom to take her in...she just didn't want
to let her go. We had to put her down...I know the pain bro

Sorry for your loss man.
I would be real upset if I lost my dog or cat.
I love them both to bits!
