Alex Grey/Vai Connection?

Alex Grey, my favorite artist (does Tool's artwork) has a picture that looks identical to Vai in his Whitesnake days. To my suprise the picture was actually supposed to be of a woman. see for yourself

Hah, it is a pretty close resemblance, but I'm afraid the breasts and the vag ruin it =P. Alex Grey does awesome work though, on a sidenote.

The Alex Grey picture doesnt have as much make up as the Vai one, but it looks close.

IMO they don't look close at all. the only common thing is they being both latin-looking guys with long hair.

what are you talking about, they look almost identical! I'd say alex grey made that chick look awful manly. Vai doesn't really look like a chick

they aren't at all. most of the similarity in faces are due to the eyes shape, the eyebrows lining, distance between eyes/nose/mouth, and the face shape. Vai's face looks more like a skull, due to his chin's width and massive cheekbones, not to mention the mouth, the eyes and eyebrows shape which are totally different (Vai's are way longer and put in a straight line almost going up his temples, while woman's are shorter and going down her temples). i care much about it as i am kind of a physiognomist freak.

eyes color and hair lenght aren't enough to make two people look identical.

Well, I don't think anyone was trying to say they are supposed to look identical. Although, genetic experts do say that the triangle created by the eyes and the nose is how one associates look alikes, and you just said that those parts of the face look alike, so Nuno according to your perception and what genetic experts say, they look alike.

I think the artwork looks like Vai especially when you see those flashes of him in "The Audience Is Listening" video. Go check it out. I even think during those flashes there is a strobe and some smoke and it looks like lightning and such.

i've said quite the contrary: in my previous post i've said that "most of the similarity in faces are due to the distance between eyes/nose/mouth...". i was not referring to Vai and the woman faces, but "faces" in general. if you take two faces, those are the factors that can give similarity between them.

as a matter of fact, Vai's eyes are closer each other than the woman's.
