I'm on it to... Like others have said, i'm not one of these FB addicted sorts. I check it a couple times a day. Yeah, it's a decent way of staying in touch with people you otherwise wouldn't see much. If at all.

Re: Anybody do Facebook?

i'm on it but only check it a couple times a week and only have friends / family on it. it's just a nice little leisurely thing to see what everyone is doing. i have found a few friends i have been looking for for years! i hate myspace and only have a site on their for promotion of my sites, a web billboard if you will.

I'm on it. You just have to be careful if you're sticking your meat into several girls at once if they're all on your facebook, because soon enough, they'll find out.

Otherwise, it's a bit of harmless fun.

The thing I found really funny is people trying to be your friend, and you have no idea who they are...You never met them, heard about them, they don't send a message along with their request as to how they know you, but they want to be your friend. That kind of thing just kills me...

Re: Anybody do Facebook?

I'm not on 'Facebook' but I am on what seems to be the Dutch equivalent of it which is called 'Hyves'. I ended up getting on there because an old friend invited me. I like the fact that I can get into contact with people, I would have a hard time getting into contact with otherwise.

I know what you mean. I never add/accept people I do not actually know.

Would that it were!

I am not on it but I am coming under pressure from a few friends to be on it. I am on friends reunited though.

I haven't had that on Facebook yet... happened on myspace all the time. What I *do* get is people from like high school, work, etc, who I was not only not friends with, but didn't even talk to. People I wouldn't recognize on the street. Yet, since we both were in the same general location for a few hours a day they want to be my friend now. So you either have people who you don't know on your friend list, or you have to actually explain to them, "sorry, I know we were like 47 lockers apart one year, but I don't care."

That's courteous that you explain that to them. What happens a lot as well is that people just get ignored which can be very rude, if you ask me.

But then again, if one constantly gets these kind of friend requests I can see it becoming kind of time consuming to constantly be explaining things.

Re: Anybody do Facebook?

you guys are WAAAY overcomplicating things. If you don't want to add someone as a friend just ignore the invite. no need to explain anything to anyone. i gotta dig up my highschool yearbook as i recall names & faces but sometimes connecting the dots is not always easy of 100% accurate ...glen

I have a tendency to overcomplicate things, yeah. lol But I'd say it depends on who the person who's sending me an invite is, if I can just ignore and keep sleeping well at night. I mean if it's a practically a stranger; ok. But in certain other cases I'm not so sure.

I try not to overcomplicate and just hit "ignore." However, some people are very persistent.
