Anyone see Spider-man 3 yet?

Eh, even though the movie was great, they could have made it so much better with little effort. I don't know, maybe all this will change with a second viewing.

Haven't seen it but I totally plan on it

I've heard nothing but rave reviews even from the toughest critics. I think the Spidey series is the best of the current superhero craze that's going on.

Ummm.....WHAT is it that you're thinking could have been better??

It's "greek" to me

Maybe he's talking about the marvel comics mythology of the creation of the charactor and how he came to be??

Unless he's equating "aracnids" place in mythology??

dunno

I can't do that. I'll have to recite the Man's prayer:

"I'm a man, and I can change...if I have to,...I guess."

Yes. That is what SHE means. lol I just think it's a really touching story. This teenage kid, with no friends, no parents, in love with a girl he can't have gets bit by a spider and becomes a superhero. He can do things that nobody else can do, but it still doesn't give him friends and the girl he loves. He saves people daily but at the end of it he's still all alone. With Spiderman you see him struggling with his feelings and with the burden that has been placed on his shoulders and I feel empathy for the character. I think he's the most human of all the superheroes.

BTW, I love that I have an abbreviation now!! I feel like I'm moving up in the world! lol

I agree with you FN but how does all that translate into Mythology, did you not mean to say Drama instead???

Re: Anyone see Spider-man 3 yet?

I mean that although Spiderman (and other superheros) started out just as a character in the mind of the writer, through their popularity over the years they become a part of the culture as a whole. What kid doesn't know Spiderman or Superman? Myths are based on reality or fiction, but it is something that an entire culture believes and that's the sense of the word that I was using. The superheroes stories are so well known that they take on a sort life of their own even though they never really existed. I hope that makes some sort of sense.
