Area 51

What do you think of it? I think the alien parts about it are bull crap, but I saw on the history channel and national geographical channel the go to such intense lengths to guard the stuff that goes on, they will kill you if you come to close. One guy from Boeing who is now dead said that most people couldn't possibly fathom what does on in there, and the technology is so advanced, and that they've "been there, done that" on all those sci-fi movies. rumor even has it that other countries have stealth aircraft that were developed they same time as the F-117. and why was the more advanced super stealth F-22 publicized since the begining why they f-117 was kept secret for decades? If they're thechnology is sooooo advanced, why don't they lend NASA a hand, since they obviously need it. Area 51 might be just a big bluff I don't think they are that good, but they are just trying to scare other countries.

Re: Area 51

Area 51 was the old moniker for the Groom Lake facility in NV. Home of the Lockheed Skunkworks. They developed the SR-71 (formerly the YF-12). Consider that they created a plane that was unparalleled, especially in the 1940's when the technology was implemented.
They have tried shifting focus over the years to other locations, but Groom Lake still remains home to a lot of top secret ops and tests. Try getting within 10 miles of the actual testing facility, you'll be rounded up faster than you can say "Roswell conspiracy". TLC or Discover had a couple shows on the site and its fans/ followers. They decided to pick one person to follow to try and get to talk to them by following a person that came off one of the "JANET" flights, an unmarked 737 that only had the JANET designation on the tail. These flights shuttle workers to the test facility just behind McClellan's airfield in Vegas. The worker wouldn't give the crew the time of day, much less, information.

Yeah, nothing is going on out there...

BTW, there are a couple sites dedicated to the facility.

It does exist; however, there are no aliens! Just the latest in technology, especially aircraft.

Re: Area 51

I don't know, maybe there is something interesting going on. They are doing everything in secret so we could only speculate so who knows? Can you say you really know what's going on there?
