Back to School
Well, got a call today and it looks like I've been accepted on an Msc (masters) course in computing. Being unemployed after quitting CoF and after having spent a few good years away from my previous job I thought it time to get reacquanted and learn to do it properly...
After a few months of stress and not knowing what to do thiis happening is a good thing as I've been a bit lost since deciding that the band was no good for me.
Also maybe this time I'll put more work in than i did for my undergraduate degree and realise my potential properly instead of becoming an expert in bar locations...

Re: Back to School
Best of luck to you James!
I dont think I could be in a band like CoF, and tour everywhere and anywhere. I can imagine it being much harder work than everybody thinks, and I bet it takes its toll as well, especially on the body!

Halfway through June, although they didn't announce it (and even then not properly) untill August.

Re: Back to School
Hey, congratulations for the acceptance. It's surprising news that you quit CoF, but I am sure you know what's best for you. Must have been cool to experience the big time rock life for a while though.

Re: Back to School
CoF was fun untill the end, and i got tired of my position and the crap that came with it and didn't like it, so out of principle I quit. Basically I'd always said I'd stop once the fun was gone, so i did
Doesn't mean I won't be doing anything else though, studying does hopefully leave me some time to write music as well

no. the deal was between me and ibanez, not between CoF and ibanez, I spoke with them and they are keeping me on, also there should be some new music at some point, so it's not like i'm quitting

Re: Back to School
Glad to hear it!
If and when you do get time, what sort of stuff do you think you would be recording? Would it be in the metal genre again.....or something different?
