BBC2 "Let me entertain you" anyone see it?

Some kid played a Steve Vai song apparently and got booted off after like 1 minute or something

Did anyone see it? I missed it but my mum told me to switch it on and it was too late. What did he play?

It was on about half an hour ago, I'll have a search for it.

LMAO, and the kid was really good according to my mum. Having said that, she's had to put up with me and my dad's noodling for the past 40 years (mine for the past 12 and a half.)

Poor kid, he should've played some Hank Marvin

Well I felt sorry for him until I saw this picture of him on the site (doesn't get much cheesier does it?)

According to the official website
Quote:
Ben quit college to pursue his musical dream of becoming a rock star after meeting his musical hero Steve Vai who told him "decide what you want to do and do it"
Yeah, he'll be working in Morrison's in 10 years time

Even funnier is that he lost to this guy...

Now he may have the talent of 50 Elvis Presley's, but looking like that it's more likely that he's eaten 50 Elvis Presley's.

Something I've learnt when it comes to guitarists now is that you can't ever really say "Oooh, he's good for his age" (unfortunately) because there are infants shredding like hell these days... it's crazy

And realistically, he should've got up and played one of his songs because the crowd wouldn't know Steve Vai if Steve Vai walked in the room and yanked his pants down with "My name is Steve Vai" written on his wang. Kudos to him for playing on TV though, which is more than a lot of people could do.
