Me and you certainly must have different tastes in guitarists then man. I'm not trying to say you've got bad taste or anything though. I'm into 80's rock (neon rock,hair metal, spandex rock, heh whatever you want to call it ) and some would say you can't get much more "bad taste" than that.

I don't quite know why the stuff on YouTube is so terrible. I am not saying I like him a lot or anything, but I remember that when I first heard of him (before those YouTube clips, around the time when the above link was recorded), I thought that he was a good technical fusion player. Maybe tad too shreddy and relying too heavily on Holdsworth's style for my taste, but not tasteless, like it's the case with the YouTube clips.
