Broken PS3

One of my buddies had this PS3 layin around and wasn't using it. I asked him about it and he said it didn't read discs, I bought it for $20, thinking to flip it on 3bay. I can probably get $125^ for it so I'd say I made a fine deal. I was also just trying to find out if I can replace the laser or broken part to fix this thing. I've repaired all kinds of Ipods but dont know too much about the PS3. Any experts? Id love to get this thing reading discs! Let me know if you know anything on approaching this. Thanks in advance

The best thing you can do is this.

Keep it in your car, the next time someone on the road does something stupid and has the cheek to have a go at you even though they were in the wrong, open your window and throw it at them.

A PS3 should really shake them up, if my throwing old D cell batteries is anything to go by.
