BT Phone for all you UK members

Well I'm getting very frustrated my broadband has been out for almost two weeks now, and it seems like BT is taking there good ol time to fix the problem! Is there anyone I can contact or complain to besides the tech I get on the other end, or better yet can I get a pro rated amount on my bill since I've gone almost half the month with no connection?

Anyone else having problems? Oh and did I mention the way they got the customer service set up over the phone sucks! Keep getting transferred to different sections!! Anyways just wanted to rant cause it's really causeing problems!!

Are you on Yahoo/Openworld or standard BT? If it's central plus it definately should have been sorted by now, Openworld/Yahoo I wouldn't be surprised if they failt o fix it.

It is one of the hazards of having your internet from the companie(s) voted the worst customer service in britian, I'd talk to any national service that deals with satandards.

Scott Bro, Pipex have done me good so far, BT have limitations and suck somewhat with phone/internet/other services

Re: BT Phone for all you UK members

If you've been out of service for a certain length of time you should definitely be due for a credit on your bill. They do run a compensation scheme for the phone line itself so they probably include the broadband on that as well. You still need to phone up and confirm it though.

If you have a problem with the service you're getting, demand to speak to a manager and complain. Or go to Oftel (the telephony ombudsman) and see what they say.
