Calling all myspace users - how to upload music.

Sorry myspace noob here...very embarassing. How do you load your own songs on to your myspace page, you know, like everyone else except me does? I don't want anything fancy yet, just your bog standard player with my tunes on it. Help anyone?

Right, as far as I can remember, you:
Sign in (I'll take it your past this step )
Click "Edit Profile" in the main profile part (Just tell us if this is a bit hard to understand, and Ill post a picture)
In the "Edit Profile" part, click "Manage Songs" then on the right, theres a button thats like Add Song or something, click that, fill in the stuff, and yer done

Oh aye, is your myspace a normal one or an actual band one?
Cos you need the band one to upload stuff, unfortunatly...

Bingo! That's the issue

Although I think you can add an mp3 player to your profile and add your own songs to it if you host them on another site.

1 reply LOL! I thought I'd get more help from my jemsite pals!

As far as I'm aware you cant actually upgrade to an artist, which sucks, to sign up for a band account though, go to music opn the navigation bar, then under that theres a link to "artist signup" in the red myspace music bar part.

^^^ Correct. You cannot convert a regular site to a band site.

Re: Calling all myspace users - how to upload music.

Thanks chaps...decided not open a new account. It's too much hassle to change the name, reinvite my friends etc etc.

I uploaded a cool mp3 player, anyway.

MORAL OF THE STORY: If you decide to put your own music on your myspace page and it's not a band myspace, you can search the net for mp3 player codes and mp3s are to be hosted on other sites such as zshare.com

A good site: www.myflashfetish.com

Anybody having issues with this PM me.

to a normal myspace you can upload videos though. i know thats completely not related and not helping whatsoever, but if you did have a video of yourself in avi / mpeg format you could do that and then press the button 'include to your profile' or just leave it in the video section.

I was thinking music video or video of yourself playing guitar, not ermm some kinda.... nevermind
