Re: Can anyone help me with an adobe pdf file?
Hi,
I have a 18 page file that I need to send to several people asap..... but yahoo will not let me send it because it says its too big.
I have 55 page document of the exact same type of material I send all the time with no issues. So I know there must be a way to make this 18 page file smaller, to where it takes up less space than in it current state.
Your help is much appreciated.

This will only work if you have a full version of Adobe acrobat.
load the file, then hit save as per usual. in the part where you choose file format to save, there should be a *.pdf extension called optimized. this should reduce the size for emailing etc...
good luck

Why not use a new email service?
Gmail is excellent for things like this.
You get 6+GB of storage space at no cost, better UI etc.
If this helps, great,
...if not, sorry.

Re: Can anyone help me with an adobe pdf file?
sorry but zipping an 18 meg file will only save you 1 or 2 meg at best and zipping is more about many files into one file, and even though gmail allows 6 gb of space, the porblem that Queens_Brian_May is having is that he can't send an 18 meg email. Most email accounts dont allow email sent larger then 10 meg and some email accounts less and some more.
So i suggest saving your pdf in optimized mode. that is the only way to get an 18 meg file down to 2 meg or something close to that...

Hey man sorry I didn't realize the file was 18mb. Why don't you just break it up into 5mb pieces?
