Can we change up the search tool?

Glen/Admins, is there any way we can change the search tool to allow searches for 3 character's? Over the years I have found it annoying to not be able to search for things like "JS6" or "LGM Guitars".

I understand not wanting to allow searches for single letters or every post that has "the" or "and" in it but I think it would make more sense to make the restrictions specific to the words you don't want searched for.

right now (for reference to other admins & members) we have this setup in VBulletin admin pandl

"Words to be Included Despite Character Limit": is set to 4

There is also a "Words to be Included Despite Character Limit" field where we can add 2 or 3 letter words to be indexed/included in searches. The following words are there now so they're included in search indexing:

jem uv dna vwh vdy vsk 777 dsy lng dbk pbk 555 bsb pmc gmc bfp pwh jem10 ham atd ekg jpm lgm emg pgm vht gp3 G3 evh rg js ada ts9 ds1 pod vai rg7 rga rgt vox 333 sd1


If you guys want to post a list we can edit them in then reindex/rebuild the vBulletin search (which takes several hours to run).

LGM
JS6
etc.

Note you can google search "LGM site:jemsite.com" for 3 letter search now but to do a better forum search we just need to insert 3 letter (or 2 letter) strings to include in the search... glen

Well I suppose I would begin by proposing all of the other 3 character JS's.
