Computer question... my first SSD

So I ordered a SSD for my older desktop pc. (phenom quad core, 8gb's ram, sata 2). My budget was around $80 and I read a good review on the Crucial m500 so I ordered it. Now I've read some bad reviews on that drive and I'm wondering if I should have ordered the Samsung 840 EVO for $8 more.
Will I see any real world difference between the two drives considering they will be on sata 2?
I'm thinking about ordering the Samsung and sending back the Crucial when it arrives.

I can check into Intel, never used them. Recently installed/used 250GB 540evo and crucial 550 512gb. Cost, capacity and warranty factored too. 840pro prices dropping too (longer warranty). Crucial 550 and newer are very good. Badly reviewed SSDs you must avoid. I've warrantied 4 already by OCZ and 1 kingston...g

It'll be a reinstall probably, I don't know what cloning is [besides making sheep ;)]

I always like big brand names like Intel. Samsung would fit that profile, but I already have the Intels and don't care if the Samsung is 40G bigger. I'm only using 190G now so the rest is just headroom.

i'd put crucial m550 & intel at the same level to be honest. they are a major memory supplier for years USA made. Samsung 850pro is the one i'd get if cost is no object. Ultimately cost is an object the use I have for the 512 is that it will be replaced in 2-years proactively anyways.
