Cowboy boots... still cool in the 21st century?

Well in the 80's it was a must if u were a rocker. Who thinks its still cool? what are your oppinions?

by coincidence I found mine in the back of a cupboard the other day. I scraped all the mould off them, but sadly even that didn't make them cool again.

well i was thinking about picking up a pair for gigs and concerts and stuff, i wouldnt wear them like school or everyday

Everything is relative! To some you would be super cool, to others you suck it's the same with just about everything!

I doubt many would be in the "super cool" line of thinking! I thought I'd wear them for my bands next rehearsal just to see if the rest of the band notice! Don't think I'll be wearing them anywhere else.

I'd like everyone that says boots are not cool to post a pic of you which you find cool. You all play guitars that are heavily rooted in bygone decades, why should boots be any different?

Actually, out here in hick land ...everyone thinks they're Garth Brooks, and good friends with "The Earnhardt Family".

Here in Oklahoma, you'd think everybody wore CB boots. Not true! Pretty much just the real cowboys (few in number) and the wanna-be's (all truck and no rodeo, as it were) wear 'em now. Sure, I've got a nice pair of lizard-skin boots that I used to wear on stage (with the aforementioned spandex, hairspray, and brightly colored guitar), but they rarely see the light of day anymore.

Before I threw mine out 2 years ago, they had been sitting in a basement for years. It's amazing how green and white fuzzy mold can just take over leather like it ain't no thang... mmm.... not cool.

I never understood the idea of worrying about whether or not something is cool. Think for yourself, and to heck with the masses. Even if it's hairspray and spandex. Let the sheep worry about having to keep up with the flavor of the week.

And for the record, I do think boots are cool.
