darth vader at my wedding

since i love star wars, being raised on it as a kid, as most of you were, i thought i would share this with you. i do not frequent the conventions at all or anything like that. i do not think that i am darth vader either....although a real lightsaber would be cool. hehe. anyway, i'm in the process of building this costume for my wedding this october. it's not much now and is less than half done. when it is done i will use it for the wedding (reception only) and to pass out candy to the kids during halloween. it will look pretty much like the one in the below movie which i have included for your enjoyment. take care!

she will be wearing a wedding dress. i told her last night i will skip the tux and just wear this. I DON'T THINK SO! that was the response. whatever. it will be worn during the reception...hey, it's halloween.

how did i do it? i surfed a lot of sites and looked at many photos of vader. there are so many sites out there and it's amazing what these people know about star wars. i found a few suppliers that copy patterns and moldings of the star wars films. one even worked closely with the original costume shop. it can be VERY expensive and i have cut corners while still getting it looking good. i just have the chest plate and belt to acquire and i'm done. it is turning out quite well....glad you like it. i'll post the wedding photo beginning of november...hehe.

Check out the'bay... there are Star Wars costumes a plenty.... not just guitars!
