Dear God, Make It Stop
The sequel to the Bill & Ted movies has been given the go ahead, but it will not star the original leads Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter.
It has been sixteen years since the last film was made, which threw Reeves and Winter into the spotlight with its blockbuster success.
The franchise about two time travelling teenagers will have a third installment added when it goes into production later this year.
It was thought both Winter and The Matrix actor Reeves had wanted to reprise their roles but according to The Times Reeves' agent advised him against it because he was concerned it would ruin his career.
MGM Studios and 360 Pictures have joined forces with horror producer Frank Mancuso Jr. to make the movie with new leads.

Re: Dear God, Make It Stop
Same with many films these days. They want to get the most mileage out of them even though they ran out of gas a long time ago!!!!!
Plus it saves them having to think up new film ideas!!

The best part about those movies was George Carlin. I wonder if he'll be in it. I love his stand-up.

Did Alex Winters even do anything besides Bill and Ted?? I don't remember seeing him in anything else.

Was he??? I don't remember him in the Lost Boys. Was he one of the kids or one of the Vampires? I remember the oldest boy who was hanging out with Keifer Sutherland and I remember the girl, but it's been a long time since I've seen that flick. I should check that one out again.

Too true Andy
Bill & Ted is classic stuff, but it was done 16 yrs ago or whenever it was - cool soundtracks though

Actually a film about a Vampire Horse that could travel through time and play the guitar would be quite good I think.

Couldn't tell you as i haven't seen those films. But......it lends itself to my point that it's easier to make a sequel than come up with a fresh idea.
I was not implying that sequels are a bad thing necessarily or in every case, just seems to be the done thing nowadays as an easier way to rake money in!

Re: Dear God, Make It Stop
They can't be as bad as the two *******s they picked to play Lloyd and Harry in Dumb and Dumberer. The original was so funny, and the prequel was terrible.
The prequel had it's funny parts (specifically the ones with Bob Saget), but overall it couldn't hold a candle to the original.
I hope they don't do that to Bill and Ted. I really hope not.
