Diet Coke

I'm addicted. Diet Coke is my heroin.

For those of you who love regular coke, and wish to try something new, they've got a new kind of Diet Coke out. Instead of nutrasweet, it's now sweetened with this crap called "splenda." The kicker.... it tastes exactly like regular coke, but doesn't have the sugar in it so your teeth don't stick together. I hate the taste of regular coke, but if you're one of those people interested in something possibly a littler healthier without the cancer causing stuff in the Diet Coke I adore so much, then Diet Coke flavored with "Splenda" might be for you.

Amen.

Re: Diet Coke

I have yet to taste diet ANYTHING that doesn't taste like crap. My wife insists that Diet Dr. Pepper tastes just like regular Dr. Pepper. Bullpoopy, I say.

Re: Diet Coke

It would explain how some people think that using diet coke as a mixer somehow makes the vodka lose all its calories and become a weight reducing health drink!

Re: Diet Coke

Splenda is sill an artificial sweetener. Its not good for you as some people don't process it as sugar, their body tries to digest it, which digesting crap like that is suposably not good for you. But i think it may still be better than aspartame, which is crap. Normal Root Beer is my favorite, can't get enough of it

Re: Diet Coke

Hey, I could care less what's bad for me. I eat snack food all day while I'm at work, and I drink over 2 liters of Diet Coke a day. The Phynalalanine in it has been tested and has in fact caused cancer in lab rats. Do I care? No. I'll die someday and when I do I'll be happy because why? I've got a gut full of food and diet coke in it at all times.

My reason for even bothering with the gloriousness that is Diet Coke is because my stepfather used to drink it. When I was 10, I didn't have much say in what kinds of liquid refreshments would be provided to me in the house since I didn't have a decent paying job (I was a paperboy). So I drank what we had, and it was Diet Coke. Shortly thereafter I became addicted, and here I am.

Diet Coke is a religious experience. For me it is Heaven, for many others it is Hell. Either way, you're still getting a taste of the afterlife.

Amen.

Re: Diet Coke

Well, if you really don't care if it's bad for you, then why not just start drinking regular Coke? People that don't know otherwise might mistake you're penchant for diet soda, to be a concern for your health.

Re: Diet Coke

I just don't like the taste, and regular coke makes your teeth sticky. No, I'm not referring to stickiness in a sexual manner. Get your minds out of the gutter.
