Re: Does anybody know...

If i were to guess, i'd say that RAM is a diesel, not a gas engine.

So, if you're going to desire an American (North, USA) vehicle you might as well get the one called America's Sports Car... Here's mine:

Re: Does anybody know...

That truck is definitely diesel and used or designed for hauling. Diesel equals power and longevity.

The difference between the Shelby GT 500 and the corvette: The Mustang has more horsepower, looks MUCH better IMO and is around $20,000 cheaper.

Well now that is definitely not true. At 620 HP the ZR1, Hot Rod magazine said, "makes this the most powerful engine ever offered in a factory Corvette, or in any American production car for that matter. Plus the regular unsupercharged Z06s are turning 505 HP and are lighter than the Mustangs. All of which equals Faster quarter miles and top speeds. And I am pretty sure they are about the same price as the Boss 500. Plus the Corvette looks waaaayyy better than the cheap Mustang Actually I like the look of the Mustangs but prefer the look of the Vette better. I had a former co-worker that had a Roush Mustang and was always ragging on my car. I always told him I liked his car and never ragged on it. He had a huge chip on his shoulder against my car. Thought it was faster, etc. Even after I smoked him on the strip he still made excuses and said his car was faster. I finally gave up on the guy

Re: Does anybody know...

There's a cool video out there on youtube of a ZR1 keeping up with a Lambo on a road course. The ZR1 Blue Devil SMOKES! And I'm not a Corvette guy.
Chrisf, is that your really real car? Nice!

LOL... I wouldn't normally do that because I am afraid I would piss someone off and they would key it but I came back to work later one night and got that before the sun set and no one was there.

Re: Does anybody know...

I was only kidding. If it were a private lot (like where you might work) and no one was typically there I might have done the same.

Vett's are alright, but I like Mustangs way better. I am not sure what you paid for your vett, but a brand new 550 horsepower Shelby GT 500 is $56K. I am under the impression that Vetts start in the $70k range. The main reason I got mine, I just HAD to have that color. Its the best color I have ever seen on a car.

Re: Does anybody know...

2012 new Corvettes range from $50 to $120K. Glad you got to get your dream car. The Vette was mine. I have had it for almost nine years now and am going to sell it soon as I don't drive it much anymore (only has 50K miles on it). I am satisfied now and don't care what vehicle I drive now that I am in my early 40s. Just glad I got to get mine when I was in my early thirties. I'll never buy another sports car again as I believe they are a waste of money now and since I have fulfilled that dream cars don't matter to me anymore...

Now, I just look forward to retiring early, getting a 5th wheel and traveling the country with my wife and dogs
