Does anyone else do this?

I went to MF to buy some strings for my 12 string, becuase Im too lazy to drive around or call different stores to see who has any in stock. I went there and got some Elixers for $22, but decided that it's really pointless to place an order for only $22, so I figured I would do some more shopping, small things parts and so on. Then I realized that I get free shipping on orders over $99, and I can really use a new pickup for my project Tele.

I could've just got a set of Martin 12 string strings for $6 and instead I spent over $100. I'm a sucker.

Re: Does anyone else do this?

i think most people do it, even if it on one item, i needed a voice recorder just a basic one, the next thing i now i left the shop and i've got the all singing all dancing version with loads of functions i neither need or have ever used.... and the worst thing is i upsold myself, no slick salewoman, with all the attachment in all the right places, thank god, could you imagine how much that would have could have cost me!! infact i bought it to tape quick bits of chord progressions or melodies and crap like that, now i use it to tape people saying crap about other people and then playing it back to them months later when their pissssed up! loads of fun, but still not worth it.

Re: Does anyone else do this?

I have done that many a time myself. I bought a bulk box of strings (25 sets D'addario 9's) and stil needed $35 to get free shipping and ended up getting the Micro BR recorder

Re: Does anyone else do this?

Yes, I've done it myself also to save the shipping. I guess it's a pretty smart selling gimmick.

Re: Does anyone else do this?

I won't order from a web store unless I have enough to buy that will get me the free shipping. I just wait until I need enough stuff.
