Does anyone play chess?

I've been playing for a while, but haven't played lately (5 years)

I was thinking, we could have a chess competition on yahoo chess, and everyone can contribute something small to a grand prize to play. I have a set of 7 string v8 and v7 pickups or few picks and pack of strings or something.

Anyone up for it? Jemsite Chess Tournament? If so, I can figure out a way to organize the whole thing, but if no one wants to, I wont waste my time.

I like to play chess, and I used to play chess, but I don't think I'm tournament worthy.

I never learned how. I always thought it was too complicated when I was a kid, so I gave up and learned checkers instead, lol.

Same here. I just tend to blag it for the most part

I was quite good when I was younger (not tournament worthy though). Now, I can barely even hold on past the tenth move without getting checkmated.

I played every week for 10 years until a year ago. But I've never been able to play 2 dimensional chess. I just can't "see" the board and the angles that way. It's weird, but so am I.
