Re: Fantasy Football 2009

he'll probably be cut & with his contract moot since there is no cap next season. the $$$ paid to get him & jettison TO was worth it's weight in gold. i see RW as a slacker myself, he's now hitting rock bottom with two options. fold-it-up or rebound. I'll list the Cowboy's offensive threats below and you tell me RW matters whatsoever.

Romo
Witten TE
Bennett TE
Miles Austin WR
Patrick Crayton WR
Roy Williams WR
Felix Jones RB
Marion Barber RB
Tashard Choice RB
other young WRs Oogletree/Hurd/Etc.

The boys, if properly coached & without Romo missing a game, could have been 12-4 this year without Roy Williams even on the club. That's a hypothetical but you my thoughts about this pathetic coaching staff (Wade, Jason, etc.)... glen

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

Your offensive line is really good, and there are weapons on your team (although Austin is the only WR I'd trust right now). I don't trust Romo in a big game... but the coaches don't help him.

You'd think with all the collective money that Dallas fans have there would be billboards saying "Fire Wade" or something. The Bills and Browns come from desolate cities and they can organize that sort of thing.

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

i'd never trust any QB in any big game where the coach demands 40+ passes per game, especially on the road late season (think in philly, in nj, in wash - cold weather/windy stadiums not conducive to passing). unfortunately the cowboys are 5-2 and even if they keep it close and are 5-3 that's 10-6 which gives wade his typical pass from fans. He's on the last year of his contract also ... glen

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

Glen - I had one owner tell me he voted against your Turner trade. I think it's a bad trade as Turner has been a stud lately and should be way higher valued than Driver/Miller combined.

If it doesn't go through - I'll give you Forte and Chad 85 for Turner. (can't propose a trade right now because the other one is still pending)

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

come on. i need TWO players and to make the playoffs. all eggs in turners basket is not in my best interest. of course you can score big w/ turner but not with several other dogs on your team as i have. one owner can't block a trade can they? forte/chad is probably acceptable ...glen

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

Looks like 1/3 of the league must vote against the trade. So 4 teams in our case.

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

you should reject it then propose forte/chad & face the backlash :-) LOL.

CALLING RICH.

NOT PHILTHY'S WEEK HUH! DOWNED BY AMERICA'S TEAM AT THE STINK (and bonus points for McWhine after failing andy and his abysmally stupid challenges)

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

I've got no problem with the McBad spot challenge, the McCoy challenge was stupid.

Either way, numbnuts didn't run Weaver in those short yardage plays anyway, so we couldn't get a yard when we needed. Too many penalties, errant throws, key injuries. And let's not forget they were a stupid hold that didn't effect the play away from that return 7, and a win. See you at the Mausoleum for the split.

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

that was some DUMB COACHING that made uncle wade look like a Landry re-incarnate for a few hours.

ROTFLMAO.

THANK YOU ANDY & CO ... glen

ps - you can't challenge and waste your final timeout (but both were totally stupid... the refs aren't going to allow moron coaches to overrule every spot now in the NFL.)

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

It was a 4th down late, and a bad spot. It wasn't stupid, it was called for. Not like they needed that time out in the end anyway......

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

it was more STUPID than the 53-yard useless FG handing the Boys the ball back needing only 2 first downs and of course no way to stop the clock. With Marion the Barbarian fresh and your DL on fumes

Andy put on a "how you should NEVER coach" clinic in front of an angry mob of dejected & demoralized Phillies fans (eagles fans have no real expectations as you know). ...glen

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

I can't argue the FG was a bad move that late. He was depending on D to hold for another shot. They weren't gassed, they just didn't get the stops when they needed, and playing 2nd string LB's didn't help.

The Birds spent a decade + as bottom dwellers because of a terrible owner and coaches.

Re: Fantasy Football 2009

you CANNOT expect any defense to stop Dallas in a 4-minute drill, needing only 2 first downs. That is as much disrespectful as it is stupid!

and also NEED your team to DRIVE DOWN FOR A TD!

that is unreasonable and just stupid coaching! Right on cue from Andy... glen
